Anyone else super excited that Honey Crisp Apples are in season (even though they’re like $2.00 each)?

Yesterday after some running and eating I went to visit my SIL and niece. With SoCal traffic it takes about an hour and a half so the visit dominated my day, but was 1000% worth it!
They just got a new kitten and it’s the world’s cutest tiny cat ever ever ever.

On the way home there was some major traffic so I made a stop at the mall. It’s totally better to walk around shopping then to sit in the ‘Corona crawl’.

Grabbed a healthy snack from GNC. It was right by the Quest bars and I wanted to see if it was similar. No. It’s not. It was kind of bland – which is weird for a Chocolate Mint bar, not sweet and $3.00. I would NOT recommend.

Spotted this fun donut tee too. It’s going on my Christmas list! (*Not the shirt, a dozen donuts.)

I had un-buyer’s remorse after I texted that pic of it to a friend, and went looking for it online when I got home – I found a ‘Donut Care’ tee and This Donut Hoodie has my eye now too. This guys Donut tee is fun too.
Now I just kinda want to eat a donut.

But, I came home and sipped some tea instead of actually eating a dozen donuts. Maybe because I didn’t have donuts, maybe because I am trying to avoid gaining weight…

On Thursday I ran 6 miles in 24 degree weather with a 12 degree wind chill AND snow flurries. I guess I better get used to this crappy weather here in Chicago because I don’t think it’s going away until April!!! Embrace the suck 🙂

Thursday’s workout involved 20 minutes on the elliptical and some arm and ab strength training, following by an awesome yoga class! I thought i was just going to stretch it out but next thing I know we’re doing some hand stands….
Ran 4+ miles in the first SNOW of the season! Yahoo… Love, love snow running!

Didn’t make it to the gym but did manage to go to the mall. I did make sure to get my 10,000 steps in for the day though so there’s that.

Ran 5 miles and did a killer ab, burped, kb workout!

14 km on a cold crisp evening … it was lovely. My son joined my for 3.5km.
Convinced my sister to go to the gym with me!
Got in an evening 1.5 mile walk with the dog and boyfriend!
Ran 15, part treadmill, part outside.
Went for a two mile run, even though I really didn’t want too, I knew that was the time I needed to. It felt amazing and then did some free weights at the gym. 31 more miles left of the month.
worked my arms so much that I couldn’t brush my teeth.
Up at 530 am for a cardio sesh….3 more miles in the books. Really feeling motivated in my running 🙂
I went to my last spin class at aura. Equinox starts tomorrow!

Winter 2014/15 Inaugural Run – my first run of the season below freezing and on ice/snow. (Hello, Yaktrax!) Only time to squeeze in 2.5 between sleeping off my night shift and kids’ activities, but it felt SO good!
Did the Dynamic Core workout as part of T25 Beta round.
Four miles before work this morning. Getting up took some extra effort– it’s 30 degrees here in Michigan and the heat isn’t working at my house, so I did NOT want to drag myself out from under the blankets. Glad I did it, though!

And did you know that apples taste different depending on where they’re grown – even the same species?! I just moved from Georgia where they grow a lot of their own apples and living on the west coast, every apple tastes different than the same kind in Georgia! Galas rock out here but GA Honeycrisps win so far. Weird, huh?!

Even though the wind chill was below freezing I ran 4.5 before work. I also warm up after a mile but so hard to talk myself into running when it’s cold.
60 minute Zumba class tonight – so hard to motivate myself to change into shorts to go to the gym, though, considering it is snowing here in Indiana – eek!

Today is my rest day from running! I will do some strength training and a bit of walking, but mostly rest. I am loving this challenge!
I am completing my daily MOvember challenge with 100 side squat steps (didn’t get to it yesterday because…life) and 75 hollow to superman rolls. I also need to do 50 more plank walks since I didn’t understand the directions from the other day 🙂 I’m going to make my kids to them too 😉

Run day and cross training with an arms circuit class for me tonight. I’ve had pain in my knees/ankles/hips this week so I am going to go try to run 3 or 6 miles after work and if things are hurting at least walk 3 miles. Hoping once I get moving things will get sorted out! And now I want a donut! 🙂

That donut shirt is everything! Also, I want a donut now 😉 Since I hit snooze about 83 times this morning and missed my run, I’ll be squeezing a quick run in during lunch. Plus, I’ll probably do some strength work tonight after the kiddo goes to bed.

Strength today with my trusty post-natal boot camp dvd. The snow flurries outside my window are doing nothing to convince me to get outside for a walk or jog today.
Went to a HiiT class this morning.
I did a 2-mile treadmill run followed by 3 Tone It Up workouts, focused on legs and abs. Felt great to have all of that under my belt before 6:30a!!
4 miles this morning–hills. Honey Crisps are 2.99 a pound in Vermont… yours looks like it might be close to a pound though!
5 am crossfit again and a 5 mile run at lunch.
Crossfit after work today followed by some much needed stretching.
On the schedule for today is a 40 minute tempo run.
2 miles on the treadmill since my legs are still a little sore from the race on Sunday. I also did 30 minutes with weights.
Now I really want a donut! 🙂 Volleyball last night and indoor biking today.
Swim class tonight! On Monday the power went out so class was cut short, so hoping to get some decent yardage in today!

Filthy Fifty this morning – 50 each of box jumps, jumping pull-ups, kettlebell swings, walking lunges, knees-to-elbows, push press, back extensions, wall balls, burpees and double-unders. My shoulders are in serious pain, and I’m hoping my dogs can walk themselves for the rest of the day.
Crossfit yesterday evening so probably a easy run later today. I’m pretty sore lol.
Yoga at 4:30 … can’t wait 🙂
4 lovely miles (every mile counts during taper week!) Honeycrisp apples are the BEST. I look forward to Fall specifically for them (and pumpkin everything). I save up all year long.. haha j/k

Soooo… I hurt my foot in a pretty excitingly bad way yesterday. Nothing but RICE for me today… and tomorrow… and oh, whoops, ballet performance on Saturday. We’ll see how that goes!
