I have a great Class Pass review and giveaway for you courtesy of Propel today! I’m pretty excited about it because I
A.) dig the heck out of the new Propel electrolyte water and
B.) really love Class Pass (after I have been avoiding trying it for the longest time – busted)
The nice people at Propel gave me a month’s membership to Class Pass.
Class Pass is a membership that allows you to take UNLIMITED group fitness classes at some of the best studios near you. They offer everything from Zumba to Barre to Crossfit to Boot Camp. It’s awesome!
Being in Southern California there are seriously TONS of fitness classes. These LA people are interesting with their ‘Fit Buddha’ and Aerial Fitness and OC Pole fitness. (I do really want to try fit Buddha so I come out all zen and stuff.)
Week before last I hit up a yoga class. I was so proud of myself because I feel so good after yoga but never go because it (ironically) stresses me out. Ha! I’m the worst.

And a few days later a tried a new-to-me Zumba studio. I haven’t been to Zumba in sooooo long I was afraid I had ‘lost’ it. Whatever ‘it’ is.
The important thing is Vegas was there to support me.
Look at him, being all supportive and stuff…
I know it’s like the most cliché thing to say but the key to Zumba (or any dance fitness class) is to just have fun. I think when you take it too seriously and freak out it makes it stressful – which is the opposite of what should be happening during your workout! Have fun, dance around, jump, shake and laugh.
The Class Pass and Propel water is part of the support I have to hit my Summer Fitness Goals. So far I’m doing well!
My Summer Fitness Goals:
1. Strengthen my core and glutes by working those areas 3 times a week. – Classes are helping with that. I’m also doing some moves at home that I’ll share when I get the chance.
2. Lose a few pounds by tracking nutrition and cutting out mindless snacking. (I also had the opportunity to talk with an RD and we discussed what I’m eating and where I can improve. More on this later.) I actually have been using a new post-meal treatto help overeating and recently came to a revelation that Intuitive Eating has really ‘clicked’ for me.

I have a ? – I read somewhere on your blog that you tried weight watchers and it didn’t work for you. I’m doing it – AGAIN – and it’s not working for me either. first 3 weeks and zero weight loss (.3 gain actually). BTW, my sis was an instructor at Fit Buddha in Santa Barbara before she moved out of the area. I thought I had a pretty strong core until I took one of her classes. I felt like complete jello by the end. Not sure if LA locations are owned by the same people (who are awesome!), but I would definitely recommend it.

Love the “AB-solution” class at my gym; and really any of the classes that focus on strength and core work. I don’t go for the straight-up cardio classes because that’s what running gives me. I’ve been utilizing the nice weather here in Wisconsin and doing more outdoor activities rather than being inside since I’m stuck indoors all day for work already. I would love to try more classes, but I am a giant chicken. Did yoga in a giant park class a few weeks ago. Stressed me out. A pass like this would give me the kick in the ass I need to go and take advantage of the awesomeness my city has to offer!
