Protein Packed French Toast Recipe

Breakfast

FacebookTweetPin
4 Apr

Happy Wednesday! This morning I was super efficient and got all this done before 8am: checked/responded to email, comments, made breakfast for Ben and myself, made him lunch, washed sheets, put away dishes, meal plan and more!

I also ran 7 miles. They felt tough and slow. I think I need to spend some time stretching today. I’m super tight.

Yesterday I got an idea for breakfast and couldn’t wait until I had the chance to try it out. You guys know I love French Toast, but I wanted to pump up the protein in it this time.

Mix together: 1/2c egg whites, 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder, dash of cinnamon

Dip bread into mixture

Optional – Dust with chia seeds

Cook.

Eat.

Then, I chugged a ton of iced coffee and headed to the gym to train a client.

Great idea with the chia seeds. I never remember to add them to anything. I guess I should keep them where I can see them.

I love french toast. My mom used to make it for us every Sat morning, except we call it Pain Perdu becuase we’re French and pretend to be fancy. Genius to add protein powder!

Would you consider being my breakfast chef? It doesn’t pay a lot, but I’ll be good to you!!!

Boo. I wonder if a lot of people have problems with RER in Greader? I’ll try and fix it.

I can’t wait to try your French Toast recipe! It looks so good!

When I’m tight, I like to do yoga. I really enjoy kicking the dogs out, turning off the lights and lighting some candles before I do it. I love the serenity and flexibility that yoga gives me. Have a good one!

Great idea for the protein powder in the French Toast mix! I only have Strawberry flavor; do you think that would be awesome or totally gross?

Doesn’t it feel so nice to accomplish so much so early?!

I just bought a massage stick today – my calves are always tight.
