Quit Smoking Detox Plan

Hey! I am not super big on pushing Advocare since I know it’s not for everyone. Do you, do you 100%. But I did want to share this information about using their detox kit to help support people who are trying to stop smoking. I know some of you may be thinking “Who smokes anymore?” Well, a ton of people actually. It’s still a thing.

And someone close to me who used to smoke in ‘social situations’ aka only when we went out drinking recently confessed that they are smoking daily, a lot. (Actually, I knew since I could smell it, but knew they’d say something when they wanted to talk about it.)

So when I saw an email from Advo talking about what products to use to help you quit smoking without the usual irritability and weight gain I was tempted to forward them the email. But I also thought it might be helpful for you or someone you know that’s struggling with this.

First let’s all remember that nicotine is addictive and it’s very hard to quit any addictive substance or activity. Use compassion when interacting with your people.

Advocare Quit Smoking Detox Support Plan

If your desire is to quit smoking without gaining weight or becoming irritable these AdvoCare  products might help!

The Herbal Cleanse will curb cravings for sweets and fatty foods and the nicotine decreases in your body. The herbal cleanse and fiber boxes shown below come together with this purchase it’s called their “herbal cleanse system”.

advocare 24 day challenge day stuff (800x450)

Oasis – helps to calm you. I’ve used it to wind down when I feel a little anxious or irritable.

oasis in the front water in the back (450x800)

Meal Replacement Shakes – are good if you’re in the habit of having a cig on the way out the door in the morning instead of breakfast.

Tip: Try to keep your blood sugar level in a good place so you don’t feel the need to put something in your mouth.

protein shake (600x800) (600x800)

Spark –  this is my favorite Advocare product. It gives me energy and a lil boost!!

Also if the ‘hand to mouth’ motion is part of the habit raising a straw to your lips can help replace that feeling.

spark time (450x800)

MNS Max 3 – helps keep away cravings for treats which are often the replacement for cigarettes.

quit smoking detox

This is the program suggested course of action…

Step 1: CLEANSE AND DETOX – REMOVE TOXINS – 10 Days

Spark– early morning and/or mid afternoon (I have found if I take it in the afternoon it’s hard to get to sleep. But that also kinda proves that it works?)

Herbal Cleanse  as directed with a balanced eating plan

Meal Replacement Shake – breakfast

Rehydrate – throughout the day to flush through the toxins  (I love the Key Lime Cherry)

Step 2: KILL CRAVINGS AND LEVEL MOOD – 14 Days

Oasis and a Slam (2 boxes slam, 1 oasis) – first thing in the morning. Some people mix these products. I’ve never tried the Slam so I don’t know how it is or what flavor is best.

Rehydrate – throughout the day to flush through the toxins

I am not an expert on anything except being a big footed redheaded Mexican with a running problem so always talk to your doctor, neighbor, dog and  masseuse  before a random stranger on the internet. Take care of yourself in whatever way feels best to you.

Do you.   And be nice to others doing their best too.

This Spark has always intrigued me. What’s the benefit of it? And how is it different from the Oasis (which now, newly intrigues me)

I use to be a pack a day smoker, crazy to think about it since I’ve since run 4 half marathons, a 30k and training for a full. Granted I did quit smoking almost 17 years ago cold turkey (I became pregnant) I’ve only been running seriously for about 4 years, wanted to lose weight. Cold turkey is very hard, my husband used gum which helped. But I do or would have liked the idea of a cleanse and something to distract me from all the food stuffable items I found when I quit! I hope your friend is able to find a way to stop 🙂
