Race and Blog Conference Discount Reminders

My Life

26 May

Hello!! How’s it going? Over here it’s going pretty great. For some reason I keep waking up at 5:30am every morning. No alarm. No reason. No idea why. It’s not like I’m going to sleep super early, just normally early. I don’t mind it that much but I’ll also get slammed with fatigue around 3pm everyday. Boo. And it’s not like I’m just a little tired – I feel SLAMMED down like I want to just lay on the floor wherever I am and nap. <- That’s weird. Obviously, I’m dying. But aren’t we all?

Vegas likes my early wake up calls though! He is ready to go when I wake up. He eats some cat food, takes a drink of water, barfs up his food and then goes outside to sit on the fence and watch people walk to work.

Is it weird that I’m signed up for all of my races through the end of the year? I’m a penny pincher so I like to sign up before price increases (read: more money for food). All of the races are local, except for one- the Honolulu Marathon in December! Not sure if I’m more excited to be in Hawaii for a week, the race, or to take on the Mac Daddy Pancake challenge (google it- pretty sure I’ll never eat a pancake again after that).

Yum! That pancake looks perfect! I’ve actually never done a half marathon, but it’s certainly something I want to work toward 🙂 I’ve heard there is one on the Vegas Strip at night! xo Kelly http://lazygirlsguidetofitnessandbeauty.blogspot.com/

I just signed up for the Tacoma Narrows Half. It’s such a pretty part of the county and I can’t wait for it!

I’m running Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, MN on June 18th! It’s my first marathon ever, so I’m very nervous and excited! You should definitely make it here for it; you run along Lake Superior, and the views are fantastic!

I’ve got nothing until October and then doing the Surf City 10 Miler – which means I need to get my booty in gear! Then Ragnar Napa in November!

That pancake looks delish! I may have to give that a whirl 🙂

I’m running Long Beach in October and then a full marathon (only my 2nd!) in November in my home city, Bakersfield. I’m excited that I won’t have to wake up super early or sleep in a hotel bed. I typically do better at smaller, hometown races so I am looking forward to a PR! If you decide to drive north, I take you out for the BEST shrimp tacos and Dewar’s ice cream. Seriously. It’s worth the 2 hour drive!

I am doing the Spring Lake 5 miler on Saturday. It’s on the Jersey Shore. And then I have nothing on the calendar until October!
