Red Walnuts And Tostitos Rolls MIA

Running· What Runners Eat

Hello! I am running super late today (literally). I got distracted by some emails and stuff this morning and didn’t get out the door till a lot later than I’d prefer. #RunnerProblems

Also, someone mentioned in the comments that maybe it was my shoes hurting my patas so I busted out a pair of Asics DS Gel 19s I had in the closet. I think I’m going to have to do a little trial and error in this area to identify the problem/solution.

Then, I went to the store for some essentials and some non-essentials.

I have been wanting to try those Tostitos rolled up chips. So this is the second time / second store I’ve hit up to find them. Nope. Do you guys know what I’m talking about? Tostitos Rolls – I need them!

Wait. I want to add that I normally don’t like the chips that are folded or rolled, but I am being a complete sucker to marketing on this one and just want them.

I failed at the chip search, but did randomly spot these RED Walnuts. What? This is a real thing – they are not colored or GMO or magic. They are just red walnuts from California made for redheads from California.

Lunch was all the food I had in my house in one bowl.

And I made another batch of Protein Brownies. For some reason they have never come out as moist as the first time, but they are still really good!

Question: Potato Chips or Tortilla Chips?

Have you tried those new Tostitos chips?

How did it go in the Asics? I have that exact pair, i wore a few times, once during a race….horrible idea. I got the worst blisters. So there is a wait of money and now sitting at home. I am trying to get rid of them though, but no success.

Oh no Steph! I came on to comment that I have the exact same shoes (bought in Australia) and just ran my first marathon in them and loved them 🙁 Sorry they didn’t give you the same foot-love.

I saw the rolled chips in the store without ever seeing a commercial (i don’t have cable) and i knew i had to try them– new things always get me! They were good but i’d stick to the whole wheat tostitos, love em.

I bought and tried the rolls when I saw them in the grocery store because I LOVE the accidental rolled tostitos I find in the regular bag. I was really disappointed in these. They don’t hold salsa well and they are almost too big. Very salty too. Stick to the regular ones!

Tostitos rolls?! Good lord. I loveeeee tortilla chips. As long as there’s dip to go with them. If there’s guac, salsa, or spinach dip, it’s no question. But sometimes I just really want some salty potato chips.

I haven’t tried the rolled Tostitos; I’ve just sort of assumed they were knock-off Takis? Which reminds me of this gem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qTYO7idTDc

I dont really like chips in general, but tortilla chips are one kind that I can get down with. Tostitos are super addictive…just give me some spicy salsa and I can’t stop!

Love the colour of the shoes! So bright and fun. Haven’t even heard of those chips but in Canada we are usually behind in getting new products. Boo.

Tortilla chips, for sure! Those look amazing! My favorite ones are when you find 3-4 chips all stuck together or when they are all folded together. My husband and I literally fight over those. We wouldn’t have to do that with the rolls! Now I have to find them too!

I crave both at different times! Tortilla chips with salsa, or potato chips (usually sour cream and chives) for the salt hit.
