RER As of Late…

Uncategorized

23 Jan

Hello! I haven’t posting much in the way of daily eats because I know it gets boring pretty fast (read: We get it B, you like eggs and nutbutter).

But, since some of you asked I thought I’d share a typical day as of late…

I run here:20130123_075145 (800x600)

Then, I eat eggs and get to being productive (I’ll also have a banana or something if I have them):breakfast in RER land

Lunch this week has been salmon on salad because I’m obsessed.IMG_20130123_125736 (800x800)

My snacks of late have been lots of sunflower seed butter on rice cakes…rice cakes

and Quaker snacks where I mix the cheese flava with vanilla creme . Yes, it’s amazing. Quaker Rice Snacks

I just came back from dinner at a hole-in-the-wall Chinese place. They had warm donuts so I’m probably going back there today (and everyday for the rest of my life)…IMG_20130123_181739 (800x800)

“DIAMN GL!” is exactly what I said when I ate the donut.IMG_0661 (800x600)

I’m also still drinking diet soda. Yes, I know I’m going to die. I’ve come to terms with it.

After dinner I saw Zero Dark Thirty. Good movie, but the ending was totally predictable. zero dark thirty(source)

We don’t GO to see movies very often even though we are always saying “we should go see (insert “that movie” here) but the last one was Lincoln.

I didn’t know what the movie was about – aside for being about Lincoln…duh! But prior to it being released I heard all these interviews about how much research they did about Lincoln as a person and his personal life so I went there thinking it would be Lincoln – the E! True Hollywood Story. Obviously I was mistaken.

Daniel Day-Lewis was amazing and had I known what the story line was REALLY going to be all about I might have liked it more but overall I didn’t care for it. I would be interested in watching it again if it comes on the free movie channels we get since I have the correct frame of mind. It is long though.

Last movie I saw was Pitch Perfect….actually I’ve seen it like 3 times cause my kids love it (they pretty much know all of the songs).

I know you said that you were trying to take the blog away from more personal stuff recently, but I’m just a little curious about a couple of things. You said that you went to dinner and a movie…obviously you didn’t go by yourself. Is there a reason that you don’t mention who you went with (maybe just referring to your companion as your friend, husband, brother, etc.)? I only bring it up because 1. it just seems weird to say that only you did these things and 2. you still have your page up about Ben. Nothing malicious, I’m just curious. 🙂

Silver Linings Playbook right when it came out- and I was tearing up like a crazy person, but it made me want to go run (and steal Jennifer Lawrence’s work out clothes).

I am also obsessed with salmon on salads. I buy it by the 3lb bag at Sam’s Club and go to town on it. I also thought Zero Dark Thirty was totally predictable 😉 But still very well done.

I just saw The Hobbit last weekend. To me it was just ok… but beautiful scenery shots sometimes. Tough for me to love a movie when it ends in the middle of the story — and you have to go wait for the next one to come out for the real ending.

Last movie I saw was Jack Reacher, it was alright I guess. I was expecting it to be action packed and super exciting like the Borne movies but it was more of a suspense investigation thriller thing .. and Tom Cruise isn’t nearly as nice to look at as Matt Damon so it was just ok for me.

I haven’t seen Zero Dark Thirty but isn’t that kind of like watching the Titanic and then saying it was predictable because the ship sank? (Or was that the joke and I totally missed it? lol)

No lie; a friend of mine went to see Lincoln and she texts me after saying “OMG He died” … All I could think of is … “Why am I friends with you!?”

Geez, I can’t even remember the last movie I saw at a theater. Rented Taken 2 last week, it was pretty good. I’m not really into those kinds of movies but my dad wanted to watch it.

Also, you turned me onto TJ’s Sun Nut Butter! OMG, it is my new fave! Thanks!

I saw two movies this last week. The new Bourne movie and Taken 2. And because I let my husband pick them, it’s his turn to watch a chick flick with me. It’s so fun to torture him with chick flicks. I keep teasing him that it’s going to be Twilight!! I liked Taken 2 the best, pretty good for a sequel. And Girl, if I had your stomach, I’d only take pictures in my sports bra. You look amazing, all that running has paid off.

I haven’t been to the movie theater in years. I honestly hate the movies. SO overpriced. The last movie we rented was….hmmm…..I can’t think of a single one. I just watch trashy reality shows on MTV for entertainment.

I used to get side stiches all the time in my first year of running, always about 10 minutes into a run!! I get them on occasion now, but I have found as my core muscles got stronger , they decreased a lot! I tip a runner friend taught me, was raise the arm of the afflicted side in the air, and bend in the opposite direction, stretching the side….don’t stop running….hold the stretch for about 15 seconds and it will go away!:)

Can I be really childish for a second and say that every time I read “nutbutter” it makes me want to fall to the ground laughing?!

The last movie I saw was “This is 40” and while it isn’t killing it on Rotten Tomatoes, both myself and my husband thought it was one of the best movies we had seen in a very long time!

This is 40…not too great. Some of it was so legit to 40-something it was creepy. Other parts where pretty childish and slow. It is a topic that has potential, I think they dropped the ball.
