Hello!!!! How was your day? Mine was good except my glands are still swollen despite the ibuprofen I took 3 times today. I’m probably a goner. Who wants to take over RER when I die?death looms over me

I made rookie mistake #1 and went to Trader Joe’s after work hungry. So this happened. So.so.good.bad.IMG_9804 (800x533)

At least dinner was healthy – tilapia, brown rice and roasted brussel sprouts. Love.tilapia, brown rice and roasted brussel sprouts.

    I loooooove me some carbs! Probably why I gained 10 lbs when I got injured because I keep eating them and I’m not burning any!

    It’s in my blood to love pasta since I’m part Italian. But really I eat it a lot: pasta salad, homemade Mac and cheese, lasagne, tortellini soup (awesome and easy recipe if you’re interested), etc etc. And I think you are right it must taste better when it’s shaped like runners and running shoes!

    As a runner, I cannot live without my CARBS! From oatmeal in the morning, whole grain sandwiches at lunch, and brown rice in the evening, I would LOVE to add this pasta to my repertoire!

    I just HAVE to win the Runaroni for my middle grandson, Jayson. He’s in non-stop action all the time…running, pogo stick, scooter…but he’s the pickiest eater in the world! He does, however, love pasta, and I think that the little shoes might encourage him to eat his dinner. I will give my daughter the recipe for Runaroni Pasta so she can get good carbs AND some veggies and protein into this young man, too. And thanks! 🙂

    I can eat pasta 3 times a day and not be sick of it. Particularly my mom’s lasagna. I eat that stuff cold out of the fridge at 2 in the morning when my fiancee thinks I’m asleep. Sleep with lasagna in the house? Ha! Anyway, yeah, I love food.

    I love pasta! In fact, I made it last night and thought “Gee, I really wish I had some of those really awesome runner noodles” – and had to settle for shells. I like shells because the hold more sauce! yum.

    I love brussel sprouts also. I’ve never roasted them before because they aren’t readily available fresh in my area. I’ll def put that on my to-do list next time I see them.

    EAT ALL THE CARBS! I’m currently injured (stupid it band) but still feel the need to carb load like I’m race training, so I think it’s safe to say that I just love all things carby. Plus, nothing would cheer me up more than biting the heads off happy little pasta runners! (kidding.. sorta).

    Haha easiest comment ever! I love all of the above. When I was deployed, spaghetti day was the highlight of my week! At least now I can mix it up with lasagna, penne, ziti, angel hair…I could go on and on…and hopefully runaroni!

    This may be a silly question but if you work from home why don’t you just go to the doctor? You could even just go to a CVS Minute Clinic. Also, try a sore throat liquid medicine. It is more efficient than an ib profen.

    I love carbs. They have never been my enemy.

    Just make sure you rest and take care of yourself. Swollen glands mean your body is fighting something off. A sore throat seems to be going around.

    I am a mother of three. Pasta is a staple in my house. The kids would be thrilled to have running pasta since their mom just ran a martahon.. they are very excited about running all of a sudden.

    I spent 8 weeks in Spain this summer for school…they had pasta as an option for lunch every. single. day. I think we all know exactly what I ate. every. single. day.

    Pasta is so much better in shapes. Spongebob macaroni >> regular macaroni.
