Social Media Week and French Fries

My Life· What Runners Eat

Hello! I went to Social Media Week in Los Angeles for my presentation Friday afternoon. I was nervous but it went well (I think).

social media week la (600x800)

It threw me off a little that my session was outside. It was GORGEOUS day! But, a little distracting seeing people walking in the parking lot behind the audience.

Oh and seconds before my time to go I spilled water all over my laptop – luckily it was in my handy dandy neoprene cover. Whew! Life saver!

The night before I went to girl’s night at the Spectrum. I needed this…

skinny margarita (600x800)

and I have been craving french fries for weeks! Craving finally satisfied! They were so good. I have wanted fries for the longest time but hadn’t went to a place with them. Hit.the.spot.

finally french fries (600x800)

And since we wanted to go big we ended the night with cupcakes. I tried the gluten free Red Velvet. It was delicious of course!

This morning I did a semi-long run. Another gorgeous day out! So, I should get out there and do something… I’ll see you later Smile

Question: What was the best thing you ate this weekend?
I’m going with the French Fries. Seriously I have wanted fries for the longest time but hadn’t went to a restaurant with them in a while.

Nothing extraordinary – I stayed home this weekend. Guess I’m saving up for next weekend when I’m hosting friends from out of town.

I’m sure your presentation went great and cocktails are necessary before every activity, ever.

Probably the brownies I’m making for a BBQ today. I know I haven’t made them yet, but I’m anticipating them to be delicious!

Best thing I ate…froyo. Still not feeling like fall, so it hit the spot! Those fries to look really good!

I’m glad the speech went well! I’m always glad when things like that are over though, then I don’t stress about it anymore!

BBQ chicken–my husband made it on the grill. Too bad we had to scarf it down quickly to get to one of the kids games!

You said you were craving fries but hadn’t gone to a place that had them. When I have a craving for fries, I organize my life around going to places that have them. Therein lies our difference. Haha. I could eat French fries every day and not be boredEver!

The best thing I ate this weekend was a caramel apple. I get one a year and it was awesome! Love fall.

I love fries too! Today I tried some delicious garlic fries at a new restaurant. It was actually my husband who ordered them but I took advantage 🙂

Either a pear Caesar type salad or healthy crepes. One egg, almond flour, a bit of pancake mix and almond milk. add nutella and strawberries. ooh, or maybe it was the candy corn.

Tough decision but has to be the roasted garlic mashed potatoes I had this evening! Best comfort food <3

Mid afternoon is the hottest time of the day and usually where I have my bored lull, I’m surprised you ran at this time of the day?
