Happy Friday! We made it! More importantly, Vegas made it. The vet called and said he’s anemic and needs vitamins. So, I told him to eat some spinach and get his life together. We’ll see…

Friday Favorites…

Favorite breakfast of the week is simple – PB & Banana sprinkled with cinnamon.

Favorite snack – I am obsessed with the new Greek Yogurt Whips. This is kinda weird since I’m not normally a whipped cream or mousse person. But I dig these!

And my favorite dinner of the week is anything heat and eat. Tonight it was an extra Freshly meal I had from my week of meal delivery.

My new hot pink nail polish! LOVE. I normally am a bubble gum pink girl, but was feeling like a sassy pants and got hot pink gel yesterday.

A lot of people were asking about the color on Instagram. Since it’s gel there is no cool name – La Paz-itively Hot is similar though.

Skinny Confidential Book Review

Are you familiar with the Skinny Confidential Blog by Lauryn Evarts? She’s based in San Diego (I’m in south Orange County) so I kinda feel like I’m supporting local  Winking smile

Boom.

Eat seasonally… shop local… support women owned businesses. Repeat.

The Skinny Confidential: A Babe’s Sexy, Sassy Fitness and Lifestyle Guide

Lauryn just released a book also named The Skinny Confidential and it covers all the usual healthy lifestyle bases and more: food, fitness, balance, relationships, hair, your relationship with your hair…

I took it with me to a recent appointment and it was perfect for something like that. It reads kind of like a blog in that she shares health and beauty tips, it’s easy to read and has a lot of great pictures.

I consider Lauryn super healthy because she seems committed to a healthy lifestyle from head to toe (she juices, exercises and overall has it together). But she’s also pretty normal and confesses her love of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos! Sometimes she dips Cheetos in her green juice! Kidding.

But maybe? I don’t know I’m not following her around all day…

Overall Thoughts: The Skinny Confidential book is an easy, fun read packed with helpful, realistic tips and recipes. It’s styled similar to blog posts so you can get ideas and tips fast. Lauryn is straight to the point and doesn’t hold back on her favorite products and secrets.I love that it’s not just about one aspect of fitness but more an overall lifestyle.

Bonus – Lauryn is gorgeous and there are tons of pics so it’s nice just to look through and stop on a tip that speaks to you in that moment.

    I have to say, I had kind of low expectations for those Greek whips but they blew me away! So good! My favorite this week is the new Skippy Natural peanut butter with Honey. Ugh! Soooo good, I doubt the jar will last through the week! Xo

    My favorite thing this week is a strawberry (puree – must be the puree) and lime diet DP! SO good! Love it! I can’t get enough of it! And I’m at that point where I need to cut the soda habit out the door… AGAIN!

    I love Lauren’s Blog– I haven’t read the book yet though. And I love cereal with my yogurt, my favorite is plain greek yogurt with strawberries, blueberries, pineapple and a big ole’ handful of granola on top… yummmm!

    Favorite thing….last night i discovered taking two girl scout shortbread cookies and spreading Nutella on the inside. Basically an orgasmic oreo…. I’m already down half the jar and a sleeve of shortbreads.

    Oh, jk. I have another: watching House of Cards all weekend. It technically hasn’t happened yet since I haven’t started but I know it will be a favorite.

    Oh, I love putting toppings in my ‘gurt. I mostly dip apple slices in it, but cereal works, too! <3

    Favorite thing this week: I hate to sound like a total bore, but SLEEP has been my favorite thing. I guess that's how exhausted I am? Also, my bed is so very comfy.

    I love putting stuff in my yogurt. Usually chocolate chips and cereal. My favourite thing this week? That my dad is home from the hospital and that Andrew and I get to have date night on Saturday, aaaaaand it’s supposed to be sunny and beautiful outside. Yay!
