Hello! Thank you for all the suggestions on my ankle pain. After a lot of research I think it’s my Anterior Tibial Tendon that’s tight. I am not sure if it’s full on tendonitis yet, but yeah it’s definitely still hurting a bit today so I’m not running.
I found this graphic that shows perfect where it hurts on my ankle (it doesn’t hurt on my toe).

Running Tip: If you need running advice just do whatever RunEmz says. She knows her stuff.
So, on Instagram she said I should rub it with peppermint oil and I knew I had to do it (even if she was just messing with me because she wants me to smell like a candy cane).
Actually I mentioned it to Ben and he bought peppermint oil on the way home and rubbed my ankle after dinner. I need to find a way to trick him into staying here forever (or at least until my ankle heals?).
He also picked up Indian food for dinner. This guy is on a roll! He must have an agenda…
Earlier in the day I sported ProCompression and iced my ankle. I just threw away the frozen peas I always use to ice my knees yesterday – worst timing! So I used frozen fruit and patriotic socks. It works.
I also hit up Jamba Juice because I feel like it has magical healing powers (or at least makes me happy which is good for my soul if not for my ankle).
The night before last I grabbed my foam roller out of no where and asked, “Is this how it feels to be a guy? It would be the worst to run with something between your legs…”
“*laughing* I’m taking a picture of you,” Ben.
And I realized this picture sums up my entire life…

You are too funny with the frozen foods. I spent about $7 at the drug store for a good-sized ice pack — big enough to use on an ankle, a knee, or a thigh muscle. Definitely worth the bucks!

I need to find a good Indian restaurant here. My favorite closed before we moved back to the area. I miss it!

The bumper of my Subaru has two magnets: 26.2 and I love my Labradoodle. That about sums me up. Lol.

A picture of me & my kid at Dodger stadium might sum up a good part of my life from April to October!

Hope you’re healed up soon! I know what it’s like to be running with pain and not know what it is and if I’m making it worse. I have some doTerra with peppermint oil in it. I may go straight for peppermint oil next time I have an issue!

Sorry for your ankle pain! I also suffer from pain related to my tibialis anterior tendon. For me it hurts right above and under my inside ankle knob. Here is what has helped me: (1) ice – consistently, every day, 2x per day. This is the #1 thing that has helped. When I forget to ice, the pain returns with a vengeance; (2) rocktape – I tape my ankle before every run; (3) foam roller – I use my foam roller on all parts of my legs, including calves, 3-4x per week; (4) rolling bottom of my foot – I sit in a chair and put a golf ball under my foot and roll it around. It isn’t exactly comfortable, but it seems to help (or maybe it’s just in my head?); and (5) shoes – when my running shoes start to wear out, my ankle pain tends to increase. I hope these suggestions help! P.S. I’m going to buy peppermint oil after work because now I just gotta give it a try! 🙂 And I like candy canes.
