This Rarely Happens But…

My Life

18 Mar

Hello! How’s it going?

It’s going well over here, but I do have a bit of a headache after last night’s adults beverages. That rarely ever happens because I usually stay super hydrated so I’m a little disappointed in my water drinking from yesterday.

rer st pattys (640x640) let the dogs out wolf pack

This morning dragged my sad carcass out of bed and went for a run. My quads are surprisingly sore from the LA Marathon this weekend. <- That rarely happens too!

I’m not sure if it was because the course is a little hillier than the other marathons I’ve ran lately or I’m just super tight or wasn’t prepared or what but it is out of the ordinary for me to be sore past the day after the race.

Breakfast!

Question: Are you drinking enough water today?

What was the last thing you drank?

What did you do yesterday for St.Patty’s?

You’re such a babe! I love that shirt you’re wearing as well.
I always try to drink a couple litres of water a day although it definitely varies!

I ran the LA marathon this past weekend too — my first one! I seriously underestimated how many hills would be in this race (I had heard about mile 4, but failed to see any mention that the entire first half would be different inclines coupled with fairly steep declines!). I live in a fairly flat location, and my quads were totally trashed by mile 21. They are my only body part that are still sore!!

      Congratulations Mercy!!!!

I walked most of that mile 4 hill. I have ran it in the past, but just couldn’t do it last weekend.

Busy morning and then had a meeting outside…so H2O intake was on the low side. Making up this afternoon…hopefully it’s not too late.

I’ve been really bad about drinking enough water lately/ I’m working on it. Nuun helps a lot – then it’s tasty water 🙂

The last thing I drank was beer. Maybe that’s part of the hydration problem…

Last thing I drank: Red wine. I’m thoroughly convinced that it runs in my veins, and that I’m fueled by it. I am not asking questions.

I need to increase my water intake in general. I am going to add some lemon to mine this week and see if that helps me at all.

I still get headaches even if I am super hydrated. This 31 year old hates the 22 year old in me. Haha!

I did NOT do anything fun for St. Patty’s Day, so I’m feeling great today. Hope your headache wears off soon!

The extra soreness could be because of the Heat. You might have been a little less hydrated or depleted of potassium.
I’m drinking a whole lotta seltzer today.

I try to down about 80 ounces at work. Then what I drink at dinner or after work-out is just gravy! My Camelbak bottle holds 750ml so I try do fill that sucker up as often as possible. I am always running to the bano. Just think, it would also hold a bottle of wine! But then I’d be curled up in a ball under my desk. 😛

corned-beef Reubens are our traditional St. Patty’s day meal with home (oven) fries and GREEN beans. no booze on the weeknights for me.

I try and drink a lot of water throughout the day. Right now I am sipping on my decaf double espresso that takes me far too long to finish. It’s an unreasonable amount of time.

St Patrick’s Day is celebrated on the weekend here in Chicago, so that’s when all the madness happened. Yesterday was pretty boring.
