I often get asked if I put pictures of EVERYTHING that I eat on the blog. The answer is No. Not because I don’t want to or intend to, but because I am a…
“Grabby McSnackerson” = I randomly eat a handful of things like grapes, cereal or samples. Those three things are the worst offenders of being MIA on the blog.
Today I bought some grapes from the store and had A LOT that will not be documented here 🙁 Busted.
My dinner was pictured, albeit hastily – Pita Pizza and Broccoli. Just like I like it – with onions and extra sauce 🙂 I just wish I had bell pepps and mushrooms to make it perfect! Now I’m eating a Keylime Pie Larabar.
I gave up sweets for Lent, and am considering “sweets” = cookies, cakes, candy, ice cream, chocolate-y bars.
So, I’m going to avoid chocolate covered bars and things like that, but all natural granola bars that I wouldn’t normally eat as a dessert are okay. I found an whole almond in the middle of this bar – just a reminder that it’s all natural.
The lame happenings of Monica and Ben…
Monica: (to Ben)”What are you giving up for Lent?”
Hey, not all our conversations can be winners, people!
Physical Therapy: I think some people got the impression I wasn’t going to listen to my Physical Therapist by what I said yesterday and today. I fully intend on attending PT sessions, NOT running and doing the exercises appropriate for someone with this issue.
As my fellow runners who have had these issues realize, you don’t have to halt all activity – just high impact or straining activities. I am taking it easy in my gym classes. And the sheer fact that I am not going to run for a few weeks proves I am taking this very seriously. I appreciate every one’s concern as I know, I/other bloggers/runners/crazy people need to be called out when they are being self destructive. Thanks for caring enough to comment, seriously 🙂
Intuitive Eating: I’m still on this whole IE journey and when I say I “should eat” or something to that affect, it’s not because I feel like I am obligated or supposed to just because of some rule I have made for myself. Nope, the rules are all gone and I am in a very good place.
Today I said I “should eat” because it had been over four hours since breakfast (which wasn’t larger than normal). Even though my head is in a good place now, my body is still confused.
My tummy doesn’t rumble when I’m hungry or give me other early warning signs. I go from “Not Hungry” to “shaky hands, irritable, tired…”. If I let it get to that I cannot get full (or stop eating). So, now I try to pay attention to eating every three to four hours or so. Sometimes, my hunger does show up and let me know I need something. But, it was in my body’s best interest to eat lunch at that point 🙂
Thanks for all the supportive and constructive comments lately. I know you read a lot of blogs and don’t have time to comment on them all. I appreciate when you say “word up” here 🙂
