Hello from Florida! It’s been a good trip so far, but not a lot of relaxing. Between the holiday hustle and the baby niece being sick we’ve all been helping each other with the day to day responsibilities. But, it’s all done in the back drop of paradise so I’m happy.
Yesterday Ben and I tried to continue our Sunday morning tradition of taking a walk to get coffee. We tried a new super cute little coffee shop at the beach.
Then, we walked off that cinnamon roll along the water…
Last night we exchanged Secret Santa gifts! I got a super cool map that’s on it’s way and this book – “Sorry I barfed on your bed”. It’s funny because it’s true. My mom is watching Vegas while I’m out here and she text me that he barfed on her treadmill yesterday.
“Darn it cat! Try to be a good house guest so I can go out of town more!!” – my thoughts.
And last night we had another Christmas feast since we are barely exchanging gifts. There were ton of Christmas cookies! When will it all stop?!
Isn’t this cute? I can make a Santa cookie like this! Pin it.

Just when we were getting to the end of the treats, the niece’s boyfriend (they were at his family’s for Christmas and just got to our house 2 days ago) was super “thoughtful” and brought us a bounty of goodies from his mom and Nana.
SO.MANY.COOKIES.

I finally tossed the last of my beloved Andes mint cookies…I kept thinking that after days of eating them they would eventually lose their appeal, but nope, still heavenly. I swear they would sing to me from the fridge and even freezing them couldn’t slow down my rather alarming rate of consumption (because hey, they are even better when slightly melty from a spin in the microwave). We do still have tons of chocolate candy around but for some reason I can take or leave that….it’s the baked goods that get me every time.

Still around: around my waist. around my hips. around my thighs.

We have so many treats left! I’m ok with it, I’m getting used to them being around, so I’m not eating them all at once like I usually would 🙂
Now I just need to get back into my workout routine…

MOST of the treats were brought to parties and removed from the house…. But there are still chocolate chip cookies and gluten free brownie like chocolate chip cookies. And now I’m all alone in this house! And eating ALL OF THE COOKIES.

Oh I love Florida so much. I want to live there someday.. And we definitely still have a number of Christmas treats laying around, but it’ll never be enough! Hah! I’m a bit of a sweet tooth per say… 🙂

I still have desserts in my fridge and side dishes from Christmas dinner that will soon go in the trash (shame, but too fattening to eat). I have way too much candy everywhere that is constantly tempting me. I bought stuff to make vegetable soup and have some left over white turkey chili, which came out really good. I’m eating that from now until New Years because I gained 7 lbs. since Thanksgiving. Uggh.
