Where Ice Cream Comes From

Dinner

2 Jun

I was dragging big time this afternoon so I drank Amazing Grass on the way to my running group. Note the strategically placed cup covering my pimple.

I did more walking than running today. My legs are tired and so is my heart, but that’s a story for another day.IMG_4427 (800x600)

Dinner was waiting for me when I got home. No, not because Ben made it. Because if Ben made it we would be having fried butter again…

fried butter

Okay not really – since we saw Forks and Knives he wants to eat healthier and give up dairy. I would consider it if fro-yo wasn’t from cows. I don’t care what part of the cow it comes from either – I love it too much.

Funny Pictures

I made pasta with turkey sausage and bell peppers. I don’t just love ketchup to an unhealthy level. I also eat spaghetti sauce straight out the jar.IMG_4436 (800x600)

Dessert is one of these smashed up with granola. Because they’re just okay on their own.IMG_4437 (800x600)

See you tomorrow!

I got a TON of pamplets from PETA at a showing of Forks over Knives the other day when we went and saw The Hangover. I want to watch it this weekend, I’ve heard it’s really good.

I love those spoons. I actually eat my ice cream AND my oatmeal with them so that I don’t eat so fast. It works…sometimes.

I think that cartoon just scarred me, and I don’t even eat dairy.

You don’t eat dairy? How are we going to eat cheesecake in Miami together?

I was thinking of your blog last night as I was eating blood orange sorbet. It makes me sad to think you eat lame desserts because they have a certain amount of calories (i.e. those weight watcher’s bars above, or the not amazing 150 cal. mint ice cream). Not really worth it if it’s only so-so, right? Sorbet is magical ~240 cals/pint, full of flavor.

Yeah, I’m not a big fan of those ice cream things, but they came in a three pack with cones and ice cream bars – all of which are already gone – I ate the good stuff first 🙂 I went to the store to get “good” ice cream but knew I had those bars I should eat before buying more. But, I don’t like fruit based/flavored dessert so I think I’d rather have a chocolate bar anyways 🙂 Do they make chocolate sorbet?

YES! Ciao Bella makes Chocolate Sorbet!! Maybe a few more calories than the fruit versions, but compared to eating a pint of Ben & Jerry’s… it’s nothing. (found at Whole Foods, seen here http://www.flickr.com/photos/superamit/2215497031/)

I wish I was one of those people who liked sorbet. Yick. I’ll take fro-yo any day!

I once ate an entire jar of spaghetti sauce. It was a dare but I can not lie,….I actually liked it. 🙂

The way I look at it we all make choices and some of them have to be delicious or else we’d go crazy!
What did you think of the movie? I definitely want to see it.

It’s Attune chocolate granola and can be hard to find. It might be kept in the refrigerated section of your local health food store.
