Hello! I have a big announcement to make = I’m starting a restaurant! A Run Eat Repeat restaurant!!
Not really. But it’s funny that so many companies think RER is a restaurant (I guess based on the name?). I get calls, emails and mail for marketing and loan offers for my restaurant every day.
Ha!
This morning I ran in Irvine because SkinnyRunner insisted I meet her for a playdate at the park. (I’m not being sarcastic, she really insisted because I’ve been anti-social and she hasn’t seen me for a while and I can be fun every now and then.)
So I just went to the area early and ran on the San Diego Creek trail for a few miles.
There are so many great places to run in Orange County! I actually get this question a lot – “I’m visiting the area, where can I run in Orange County?”
Practically anywhere!
But my favorite places are the Huntington Beach bike path, any path in Irvine and the Newport Back Back Loop. The San Diego trail goes for miles and is paved and always has bikers and walkers and runners on it so it’s pretty safe.
Check out information on the San Diego Creek Bikeway here.
We will also talk about where to run around Disneyland soon!
Before I went I fueled up improperly…
And then after my run I hit up the park to visit with SR, her tiny best friend and Katie and her tiny shadow. I need to get one of those tiny mini-me shadows or they’re going to kick me out of the club!
In other news… Vegas joined me in the restroom this morning. How sweet of him.
And a little reminder for anyone that needs a push…
Just Keep Going!

I have great places to run! The only bad thing is I sometimes have to run back the same way. But I can choose from running on side-walks, through forrests, along a river, I even have a hill close by!

Lots but all hilly routes! So that could be a “good” or “bad” thing…

No restaurant: you have too many other fun/cool things to do!
I’m right here in the hood with you…so many to choose from! And in my town everything is pancake flat! I have to drive to get any kind of hill.

Hmmm…a restaurant is a huge commitment, not sure you’d like it too much unless you like to cook and deal with the public and their constant state of being disgruntled. I’m not a runner, but my area is beautiful, so runners can run just about anywhere. (Springfield, MA)
Forest Park is a nice, hilly and shady area that is simply stunning. Just about all of our side streets in this area are beautiful canopies of trees, so the scenery is gorgeous and there is ample shade. PEANUT BUTTER! 🙂

Should be fixed now, but thanks for the head’s up. I can never tell if it’s just me or my readers too.

I can see them now! When I saw Vegas was a highlight, I got really sad that I couldn’t see him. All is good in my world now. 😉

I have SO many fun places to run, right around my area! Besides Griffith Park, the Angeles National Forest is just north of me, and I live in a pretty ritzy area (im not rich, but my neighbors are! hahah) and so I have a path around the big expensive houses I like to run. Just to dream.

The best place to visit in Orlando is Winter Park. Then go on the Winter Park Boat Tour http://www.scenicboattours.com/. It is only $12 for adults and when you are done you can go eat on Park Ave. Gorgeous area and a fun escape from the tourist traps.
