Hello! How’s it going? How was your week?
Today I realized I bought two of the exact same shirt. Again.
Why did I buy two of the same shirt? Twice.
I blame my Catholic school education where I had to wear a uniform every week day from 1st to 12th grade. I still love super simple outfits and am bad at accessorizing. When I see a top I like I have been known to buy it in multiple colors.
But now I’m buying more than one of the SAME color and style?! When I first realized this I was like, “Ha! I’m the worst.” But then when I realized I did it again I was more like, “What the F Monica?! Get it together.”
Please note: Despite Vegas’ judging looks, I don’t have real plans to get it together any time soon and will wear the same thing all the time proudly.
Why did I buy a new sports bra from Target?
Because I’m on the hunt for the perfect sports bra that I don’t have to layer two of them when I run. I didn’t run today though, it’s a rest day from running so I did a strength workout. I’ll let you know if this is a good running bra soon.
Why do I mess with Vegas all the time?
Um, because that’s the entire point of having a cat.
Why don’t I join the fun run group I see every Thursday afternoon?
Because I cannot run after 10am.
But if you can run in the afternoon… Road Runner Sports does these super cool Fun Runs in the summer. They call them Adventure Runs and you join the group, run and hit stops along the way to get tickets. Then, the tickets get collected when you get back and they raffle off prizes.
Why do I go to Costco?
So I can get my groceries in a box (as opposed to a bag) for Vegas to sleep in later. He loves new boxes.
Why did I join a high school strength and conditioning class?
Um, I didn’t. I got this confirmation email today and apparently I’m signed up for a HS co-ed strength camp.
Hopefully someone just typed in the wrong email address because I don’t want to get in trouble for missing class!
Why do I want to buy a super huge brim hat?
Because I had a dream that I was completely covered in freckles. Covered.
Question: Do you wish it was socially acceptable to wear the same thing every day?
Because I already do and am hoping it becomes okay…

So, I bought these awesome white denim capris and if I could wear them every day, I would. But of course, I would end up with stains on them, so I’ll go with once on the weekend and once during the workweek and I’ll be content. But, seriously, it is awesome. I bought two of the same t-shirt recently and I couldn’t figure out what happened. Eh…it happens to the best of us.

Fun fact: Jake no longer works for State Farm. He now works at a different insurane company that I work at and whenever I see him walking around I start to laugh. I’m really mature like that. Dude is super short too btw.

I can’t tell if this is a joke but I’m totally laughing…

I would love to wear the same thing everyday. Less thinking involved!

I have a favorite shirt and jeans that I would wear every single day if I could.

I kind of do wear the same thing every day, or at least very similar. Lounging shorts and some simple top. If I have the leave the house I wish I could blame it on having a toddler, but I was like that even before.

I’ve thought this – if I can’t get it together now I have zero hope for when I have a baby!

I wish I could wear yoga pants and workout tanks all day. I miss the school days of throwing on a uniform in the morning and not having to think things through!

Some days I totally want to wear the same thing over again….if I didn’t sweat it in, didn’t get it dirty, and it was comfy I soooo feel like it should be doable without being judged.

a weird thing i’ve noticed working in film/tv: it’s totally acceptable to wear the same thing every day. i know an asst director who wears the same black tshirt (turtleneck in the cold) and khaki shorts everyday. ll bean loves her and no one cares. i say go for it!
runeatrepeat says
Boom! I’m gong to go into this industry for that reason 🙂
