Question: Are you in for POTM 2012?
I want to up my mileage from last week!
I am excited that i passed my goal by almost 10 miles…love to do another one for december !!!!! and i would love to congtaulate the lucky winners…couldnt find where they were announced
Just wondering if there were any winners announced?
So sad that I am not going to make my goal 🙁
It looks like it is fixed now.
Hey. My name is no longer listed on the google doc! In fact, a lot of names are missing now. (I looked for friends on it.) Why? BTW…I am at 42/60 and it has been there until this afternoon and now it’s gone.
I plan to run at least 7 miles this week. I am way behind my goal.
18.56 miles for this week, wasn’t able to start on the 1st;( But had a great week!
How do you think the challenge is going? I need a little help to get the rest of the miles in!!!!
I have not heard anything since signing up and I have been updating the sheet and tweeting.
Am I missing anything?
Thanks!
I do a check in each Monday 🙂 Have you seen the latest post?
Love this idea! It is really helping me keep motivated! Thanks!
I’m in. Should I provide an email address or something to get the weekly emails related to this challenge?
add yourself to the spreadsheet in the post
Hi! Silly question – since this week goes from the 4th-10th, wouldn’t it make more sense to post our mileage goal on the 3rd or 4th instead of hte 5th? I looked up the dates in November 2011 and the 5th, 12th, etc were Saturdays so those make sense for mileage goals for last year.
Just a thought.
Thanks!
Dang. I just saw this today and I guess I missed the sign up deadline. :/ Sad day.
Is it too late to join?
ali
just found out about this challenge today! darn. it sounds like a lot of fun. but it doesn’t mean I’m not going to run. going to do this one as a personal challenge!
My goal this between now and EOD Saturday is 5 miles though I may do a shake out run the day before the race also! That would make it 6 or 7 🙂
Hello! My weekly goal for Nov 1-3 is 16 miles!
Where are we supposed to post weekly goals? Here?
(My goal for Nov 1-3 is 8 miles)
Am I too late to join? 🙁
My weekly mileage goal for this week (Thurs – Sun) is 25.
Is it too late to sign up?? I hope I can add in…
Signed up! Always looking for ways to motivate me to keep running as the weather gets colder outside. 85 miles here we go – Hoping I can do more!
I’m in! Let’s hope my knee holds out.
This sounds like fun! I’m in!
Love this challenge! Woo hoo!
I’m excited! Totally in awe of you people with 50 and 100 mile goals…I feel kinda lame with my 25 miles goal, but I am just starting out and trying to be realistic. But you all inspire me. It’s gonna be a great month!!
Oh yes! I missed the sign up date for this last year and was so bummed. So excited this time around! woot!
Can’t wait for this to get started!! Anxious to read all the posts!

Looking forward to it!
Signed myself up! Sounds like a great challenge!
Fun challenge, I am in!
Yeah! Just what I need to jump start — and to reward myself at the end. This will be the first time reaching my goal of 100 miles.
I’m all in and spreading the word 😉

Wheeeeee, sounds fun! With 3 races on the calendar, maybe I can get a 60-mile month. It will definitely keep me motivated enough to balance out the inevitable holiday baking!
Definitely!
How do i add my name? i am so confused…I want to do this really bad…I am in a huge slump and this is just what i need…thank you!
Click on the link for the spreadsheet and you can add yourself.

I am in, just trying to figure out the miles
Im in–sounds like a great Idea

Fun challenge! Thanks for hosting!
Signed up and can’t wait to get the miles rolling!
In in in! Excited to not be injured this year!! 🙂
I’m in, sounds like a great way to challenge ourselves during the start of the holiday season:))
Question – does 4 mile walk to work count? my commute in NYC is 2 mile each way, and I don’t have a car, so i have to walk. Thanks!
I’m in!
Just signed up! I did it last year too!
I’m psyched for this!
Signed up and excited!
I’m in!!
My mileage goal for the week is to exceed 15 miles! I just finished my first marathon a week and a half ago so I am still recovering.
question about the goal – is it miles per week or for the entire challenge?
It’s a great challenge but I feel like it’s a bit unfair not to include bike and elliptical miles. There are people out there, myself included, who simply cannot do much running or walking due to injuries. So the bike and the elliptical, because they are low impact, are the only ways for such people to exercise and stay healthy. I realize that running probably requires more effort than biking and working out on an elliptical, but I think there should be a way to include these forms of exercise into the challenge in a fair way.
I am in and I’m excited about this challenge! I do have a few questions though-
1.) I don’t have a blog so how will I be contacted if by a miracle I win a prize? I’ve been thinking about starting one but I haven’t as of yet!
2.) And the optional part – I don’t get it! Hahaha! Leave comments where?
I’m in!!
IM IN! But with the fairly modest goal of 50mi 🙂
x
Yes. Aiming for 100 but will probably need to settle for 80? Coz dealing with a strained hip flexor.
signed up!
I’m in!
In and signed up!
I’m in, just signed up!
I love how many Stephanies were signed up in the Google doc. Run, Stephs, run! 🙂
I’m in! I love running challenges. 🙂
Do you get extra “milage” for sand running or interval hill repeats etc?
Thanks for posting Pile on the Miles! I think this will really motivate me during the month of November 🙂
Totally in!
I’m in! Love this!
I’m IN!!! That is, if I can figure out the spreadsheet… Have I mentioned that I’m not what you’d call “technologically advanced”??
I might as well join since I’m already running and it’s always nice to have the chance to win prizes! Happy running everyone!
Thanks. Just what I needed! I’m in!
I don’t know if this has been asked but do you have to live in America to enter the challenge?
I’m on the list! Now, to get out there. Thanks for offering this again.
Yes! So excited to participate again this year!!
Just signed up! I’m excited 🙂
I’m IN!!
I’m in!
Wow you did a great job setting all of this up – way to go. Don’t think I am going to play this year – maybe next year – or in 20 years when the babies are in college…
Super excited! I am definitely in!
YES…cool!!
In!!
Signed up and ready to record! Plus, I badged it on my blog so now I guess I have to do it!
I’m in – Love the thought of picking up the running so we can fit into our clothes for the holidays 🙂 And well also to be healthier people!!! And I run with Charity Miles running on my iPhone – for every mile I complete, I donate money to a charity I chose when I started the run!
I am in. Please post little reminders for us to update the spreadsheet with actuals! I will be the dumb-dumb-baby who forgets.
I’m in!
I’m IN!!! 🙂 Gotta bulk up my running training for Ironman 70.3 and I think this is the perfect thing to do! 🙂
I’m in!!
i’m in! that means we can go on a run together, right?!
Great! This will go hand in hand with the Pretty Little Loser Holiday Challenge!!!
I definitely want to do this! Sounds awesome!
Challenged myself by signing up! Initially put in 60 miles, but decided that was probably too big of a goal since I’ve only been taking spin classes lately. Decided on 40 miles – looking forward to the challenge!
I’m in! This weather hasn’t had me up and running in the mornings, but this will definitely help!
I would love to participate but there is no way I cannot pile on the pounds this November. 8 months preggo! But I’ll still be piling on the miles (prayerfully)!
I’m in.
I’ve been wanting to start running/walking and did 3 miles this past weekend. I can’t wait to pile on the miles in November and see how far I can go!
100 Miles. I’m looking to get back on track before Holiday season starts!
This sounds like a fun challenge 🙂 I’m in!
IN.IN.IN. – looking forward to it.
I’m in!
I’m so in!!!
I would love to participate, but I don’t blog. I’m sure that’s ok, but is there much of a point in participating w/o a blog?
Yes! It’s open to all and the point is to just challenge ourselves and encourage each other 🙂
I’m in!
I’m in and SO excited for this!
While I should be in marathon recovery next month, I can’t resist a challenge. I’m in!
All signed up and the sidebar has been added to my blog!
I’m In! Thanks for sharing this awesome idea!
I’m totally in! This will be my first year as I’m new to the blog world and I’m super excited.
oh boy, so if we signed up before from your previous blog post about this, do we need to do it again? I must have missed the information that today would be the first day to sign up.
I’m wondering the same thing. Didn’t see my name on the spreadsheet, but sent an email last week …
I’m in!
