Detox Juice You Can Make in a Blender

Hello! How are you? I have a good detox juice recipe you can make in a blender below. But first, let’s talk running and eatin’.

This morning I woke up before the sun again! I’m really hoping under eye baggage is hot for the Fall.

Run run run!

just run (600x800)

Last week I had a craving for my favorite Detox Juice from the Whole Foods Juice bar. But, WF is a little bit of a drive AND that juice is one hundred dollars (give or take, I’m bad at math).

Instead I hit up Trader Joe’s for some ingredients and made it myself – without a juicer. Juice Buff has some great resources for getting started on juicing. I made my fave detox juice with my blender and the help of some carrot juice as a base.

I threw in some ginger for a sweet slap in the face. But if you don’t like the spice you can skip it.

WP_20140916_16_59_40_Pro (800x450) detox juice recipe

Detox Juice in the blender

  • 1 cup carrot juice
  • 2 dope beats steamed beets
  • 1/2 cup chopped cucumber
  • cilantro (I put in a lot but it’s up to you)
  • 1 inch peeled ginger
  • ice

Place all ingredients in a good blender not like the one from the 99 cent store. Blend. Drink. Feel detoxed. The picture looks kinda grainy, but I blended it twice and it was just like the fancy juices I get!

I really like this juice and I don’t like to eat beets. Try it and we’ll all clap for you.

try the juice

Question: Do you like juices from a juice bar? What’s your favorite combo? Do you own a juicer?

Hmmm…not a juice person, I prefer chewing my fruits and veggies. Plus I’m lazy to clean the juicer or blender.

I’ve used my juicer exactly one, when I was desperate to get rid of a cold. It’s too hard to clean! And expensive to do often. I’ll just stick to Diet Coke.

I don’t have a juicer, they are so expensive and juice bars are just crazy around where I live! I’ll try this out 🙂

I don’t own a juicer, so I also use a blender so I <3 this recipe! I usually make smoothies that are mostly fruit with a splash of veggies though, ya know, so it doesn't actually taste healthy.

Can we talk about what would happen if you DID add dope beats to the juice? I feel like blending to a beat would help me get rid of toxins by dancing them out. Just a thought, you know- for future juices.

I don’t have a juicer, but I do have a Vitamix that I use every single day of my life (except the weekends when I probably need it way more). I do a kale/spinach drink every day with various fruits, but I’m not yet to the point where I’m adding steamed beets and ginger. I actually keep buying those ingredients, but I just don’t love their taste and I don’t want to ruin a smoothie that I know will be good because it’s filled with mango/bananas/berries/coconut oil/other delicious things.

I’m super curious about yours now though because that’s such a crazy mixture of stuff! Cilantro and carrot and beets- I applaud you!

I know, it’s such a super random mix but cilantro is so good for detox and I love it!

I don’t own a juicer, but I’d like one! Typically I just use the magic bullet for pureeing everything.
I’ll give it a shot in the old bullet and report back if it’s a disaster :).

I want to like healthy juices, but I cant get into them. the only ones I like have tons of sugar. I figure i’m better off eating whole fruit and drinking water.

I absolutely love to juice but hate the cleanup. I’ve gone through like four juicers until we got one we really liked. This is totally motivating me to get back at it. Thanks for the new recipe.

We bought a juicer because I was convinced that we would use it everyday. I think I’ve used it twice. Oops.

I like Evolution Fresh, POM and Naked Juices, but they get pricey pretty fast! I try to only get them if they’re on sale or if I’m really desperate!

i love my juicer, but before i bought it we always used our blender. if we wanted juice, we just used cheese cloth or a paint straining bag to get the pulp out.

A local juice bar opened up right by where I work. I love to pop in after a run and grab a juice to recover. I have never been disappointed!!

I don’t have a juicer, but sometimes I make light smoothies that are nearly juice. Ginger has so many health benefits — so that’s a great ingredient. Sounds yummy, and yes, juice can be SO expensive. Have a great morning!

I’m not a juicer. I eat fruit and I eat vegetables in their regular form 🙂 I will however make a frozen alcoholic beverage with blended fruit or cranberry juice 😉

I have a juicer, and HATE to clean it. It is a great way to boost your intake of greens. Beet juice is powerful stuff. The first time I juiced them, wow, my stomach couldn’t handle it. Maybe because they were raw?

I love my juicer but I do hate the cleaning as well so I usually juice once a week and make a bunch! My favorite combo is apple carrot ginger or pineapple cucumber mint!

I don’t own a juicer so thanks for posting this to make in a blender! I usually don’t go to a juice bar, but when I do, I usually get something fruity. I do like the bolt house green juice though when I’m in the mood for a green juice!

I do have an awesome really, really good juicer and I love to juice. Adversely, I hate to clean the darn thing, therefore, I go to the health food store down the street and pay the big bucks.

I look at it this way, 100 bucks for juices or 200 bucks for maid service; juice wins!
