I’m super excited to share my thoughts on Silk Cashewmilk today! I got my hands on it a few weeks ago and recently a rep from Silk contacted me about a blog mention. So, my sips are below.

But first I want to give myself a lil clap for sticking with the 25 days of Fitness and taking a drizzly walk yesterday. Wednesday’s challenge was to take a 30 minute walk. I live in Southern California and it RARELY rains here – like, I don’t remember the last time it rained.

I bought this umbrella because it was on Target clearance or something and I remember my bestpeep laughed at me for it! That’s how random it is! However, it was raining yesterday and I got out for my lil fitness walk.

Stretch out for 10 minutes after your workout. Today’s a rest day from running for me so I’m doing some strength training and then I’ll s-t-r-e-t-c-h!

Silk Cashewmilk

I use almond milk on a daily basis in my coffee, tea and cereal. But when I spotted Silk Cashew Milk recently I had to try it. I LOVE eating cashews even more than almonds (I’m kinda obsessed with snacking on all nuts tho).

I grabbed a carton of Cashewmilk and loved it. It works in everything I sip – iced coffee, hot tea, straight up for drinkin’.

The #1 question I got when I first posted about cashew milk was, “How does it taste?!”

I feel like it tastes like almond milk – which I think only kinda tastes like almonds. It’s creamy, slightly sweet and a tiny tiny bit nutt-y.

I use it generously in all my tea and coffee and love that it adds a cream factor without adding a lot of calories to my drink.

At home I put stevia and A LOT of cashew or almond milk, out I use whatever sweetener and reg milk.

      I recently started chemo for breast cancer, and chemo mouth has made eating a miserable chore. Today I took a chance and bought a bottle of SILK Cashew milk, and I’m happy to say, chemo mouth has NO issue with it! Just for anyone else out there struggling with food and drinks through chemo, it is definitely worth a try. Thank you, silk!

      I recently found out that I am allergic to almonds. Do you know if drinking cashew milk is okay? I love silk almond milk but not too sure about trying it again now that I’m allergic to almonds.

        Oh, I would be careful about that since a lot of processing plants have both nuts in the factory. I’d error on the side of caution.

      The creamy factor sold me — I love iced coffee and I’m always bummed when soy milk gets that icky grainy effect when I add it. Right now I’m digging the So Delicious holiday flavors (eggnog, pumpkin spice, and chocolate mint) for coffee options but I’ll definitely give this cashew milk a try!

      Currently drink almond milk (I’m lactose intolerant) but really really want to try this! I haven’t been able to find it in any of my stores yet though?!? I hope they start sticking it soon.

      I’ve been drinking cashew milk most of the year and love it. I especially like to bake with it. It’s very creamy. Many of the recipes I’ve posted have had it.

      I just put a little milk in my coffee, I have tried soy, almond, hemp, and coconut milk too, but I’ll have to check out the cashew milk!

      I have made my own cashew milk at home and actually prefer it to almond milk bc it is way faster and creamier. I haven’t tried the store brand yet, but I may grab some sometime. When I tried store brand almond milk again after making it at home, it was a bit of a disappointment. The only problem with making it at home is that the shelf life is much shorter.

      I am all about the Silk Unsweetened Almond milk. Tea, coffee, granola, smoothies. I am afraid to drink cows milk since its been so long since I have, I worry I will get an upset stomach?

      I keep looking out for The Cashew Milk but cannot find it anywhere. What store did you all find it in?

      I just tried cashew milk last week too and I love it! The creamy sweet taste works perfectly in a matcha tea latte with a few stevia drops!

      I don’t think I could put anything in my coffee but whole milk or half n half.

      Maybe for a smoothie I could entertain a nut milk. Even that I’m not convinced I could do.

      Black – when I make good coffee at home. I just like it and I know how long it takes to run of the extra calories of anything else 🙂 If I’m at a diner that has great breakfast food but crappy coffee, I’ll use a bit of cream and sugar…because let’s be honest, next to the chicken fried steak, a teaspoon of sugar ain’t gonna kill me 😉

      I like to use Whole Foods 365 vanilla unsweetened almond milk, it is by far my favorite almond milk!

      I’ll have to try the Cashew Milk! My 18-month old prefers almond milk to cow’s milk. Whenever he asks for milk, if I give him cow’s he makes an icky face and says “Almond! Almond” 🙂 Maybe he’ll like cashew milk, too?
