Hello! Today is  a pretty exciting day because I forgot about an interview I did with a reporter at a little website called Oprah.com and it’s up today. I’m completely dying over this since it’s crazy cool. You can check out the entire article here – 12 Tips from Women Who’ve Lost Weight

Yes, I 100% do this – when I’m shopping and want something like a box of sugary cereal, cookies or ice cream I go look at my options, then put it back down and finish all my shopping. Most of the time I forget or find something healthy I like just as much or the craving has passed and I don’t care. Sometimes I still get it and then I have no regrets or judgment on it.

This morning I got up and out the door for 10 miles. Last night was rough as there was a lot of stuff  going on and people awake until about 2:30am. Even after that I couldn’t get to sleep right away. I’m actually surprised I had such a great run now that I think about it!

35 miles / 2016 to run the year. I got the Run Keeper app on my phone to keep track, but keep forgetting to start it before my run. Luckily, I can put in the run manually. I need to make that a new habit though!

Post run I had iced coffee while icing my broken toe. Lil pinkie is doing better.

And some random eats included a big salad, a pear and a Quest Bar.

      Congratulations! Sometimes I have to talk to myself like a mom talking to their kid, “You’re only getting one piece of candy and nothing else.” When I have a set plan before I enter the store, it usually helps me to stay focused. I also just think how great it would feel to actually stick to the plan verses feeling guilty for indulging if I don’t. It’s very empowering to resist the cravings!

      I have the faintest shadow of a shorts tan line left from a summer of marathon training. I was actually excited to have any kind of tan line because I usually just burn.

      Very fun! Congrats on the article! Your Garmin might be able to talk to the RunKeeper app. Something to look into so that you don’t have to manually log everything…

      Waaahhh I have like no tan right now.!8 already rarely get tan (100% Irish) but now that I’ve moved from Los Angeles to Rhode Island?? No sun to be found! And I don’t go tanning, it’s not the same and I’m not a fan of skin cancer. I just want natural, not porcelain doll white. Haha

      Texas never stays cold for too long. I always have some sort of tan going on. Right now it’s more of a capri and tank tan than anything else! Congrats on Oprah, great tip. I definitely try to work in cravings to a social event so it doesn’t sit around my house!

      Congratulations on your Oprah.com spot- that’s awesome! I really like your weight loss tip- I get so distracted by impulse buys at the grocery store!

      I have the total opposite of a tan right now. I’m practically translucent.

      I have no tan whatsoever living in Chicago but I have a photo shoot coming up at the end of this month for work so we all get spray tans. Yay!

      congrats, that’s awesome! i have a tiiiiny bit of a tan left over from this summer/fall (bc half of fall was still summer here this year thankfully), but not much…which means i need to get to a beach soon!

      Great job on the article! Such an accomplishment to be proud of. I have really bad tans that I thought would fade away but they haven’t. I have a big shoe tan (I wear ankle socks) and a sports bra tan.

      Congratulations on getting on oprah.com! I love that tip so much. I feel like that would also help me save a lot of money at the store as well! Fill it with produce so there’s no room for packaged food 🙂 And no, I have NO tan at all right now! No bueno.
