Vegas is a Personal Trainer and Decorator

My Life

15 Oct

Hello! How’s it going? Over here I have a top notch personal trainer / home decorator / sleepy roommate … helping me get it together. I call him “Vegas” and I pay him in turkey.

Last week I got the Ab Dolly to review for the blog. He’s a little new to the personal trainer biz so he mostly supervised. I did do some of his stretching moves though! I was super sore after the first few workouts with it.

(Click here for this link for more information on the Ab Dolly and  use code run20 for 20% off and FREE shipping!)

Then, he gave me some insight on where I should place some new pictures I bought.

Basically, I think the message is “don’t put them on the floor”…

He sleeps on the job a lot.

Pumpkin Latte from Califia – someone brought this to Bible study this week. It’s good!

I was a meal prep machine this morning! I made oatmeal muffins and since the oven was on – I added sweet potatoes to bake them at the same time. Boom. And since I was in meal prep mode I made salsa chicken in the crockpot.

Before all the meal prep I had Vietnamese Food

Home Goods is my favorite store right now (well, it depends on the day).

This MASSIVE disco ball thing looks like a HUGE Christmas ornament. It’s $1299!

Speaking of Christmas… it came super early! Clif (the people from Clif Bar not a guy named Clif) sent me a National Parks Pass!

I want to do Zion. I’ve been to Yosemite…

I’m so excited – what National Parks have you been to? Have any recommendations?

The entire west side of the country is full of AMAZING National Parks. Zion is great (Angel’s Landing and The Narrows are both great hikes). The Grand Canyon is a given. Petrified Forest National Park is also in AZ and only a couple hours from the Grand Canyon. In Cali you have Joshua Tree National Park, Death Valley, Sequoia/King’s Canyon, Redwoods…

If you’re checking out Zion, you’re not too far from Bryce Canyon National Park which is also pretty impressive. And if you can get out to Arches and Canyonlands near Moab, UT… do it. So worth it! You can use the pass for national monuments too– places like Bear Ears, Grand Staircase (seriously everyone needs to see this), Horseshoe Bend, Canyon of the Ancients…

Home Goods is the best. I always try to come up with a good reason as to why I need something like a huge ten foot nutcracker that I would have no place to store once Christmas is over but it’s ONLY $150!!!!! They sometimes have a better candle selection then TJ Maxx, too.

Yay for all that food AND the disco ball, but not that price, ha! I found one at a weird thrift shop in Dallas for about $11.

Congrats for that National Parks Pass, wow! Enjoy that! Our oldest daughter lives in Colorado, so we visit the Rocky Mountain National Park with her a few times per year. So unbelievably beautiful.

    Happy new week lady xoxo

You need to do Zion’s National Park and capital reef (which may be a state park…) but I love them both!!
