Hi! Happy Monday! Are you ready to rock this week?
I spent last night relaxing and eatin’ after the LA Marathon. A LOT of both!
Vegas helped me relax while I iced my knee and watched House of Cards.
Later he cuddled with my hoodie! Ha!
Highlights from my post-marathon eats included: french fries, cereal and avocado on everything (except the cereal).
Plus this amazing chocolate chip cookie thing that was filled with chocolate. I don’t even know.
I wanted to show you a picture of the middle. But I also wanted to just eat it. So here is the one blurry pic I took while shaking from excitement:
Today is a lil Meatless Monday featuring soy chorizo for breakfast. I love eggs and avocado.
LA Marathon in the News:
More than 30 people were hospitalized during HOT LA Marathon via NBC
Kenya’s Daniel Limo won LA Marathon
Homeless Man completes LA Marathon
Now back to eating…

I’m onto my 4th week with gel polish. Love this stuff. I always get it at the salon and have never tried the home version. Let me know if you DIY. 🙂

Kristin @ My Year in the Making says
When I first saw those Avocado’s I was like “wow why are the seeds bright yellow?” then I realized that was just the avocado. -_-

I broke out the Wii Fit Plus, so I’m getting back into that. It can be a good workout, if you let it. 🙂
I’m trying to build up my stamina again, and also working toward running.

I read that same article on the LA Marathon! Super scary. I am starting to slowly start training this week. I mean real slowly…today I did a little over a mile.
Ashley @ A Lady Goes West says
Nice work on your run! And you deserve all the food. I’ll be teaching a bunch of Les Mills classes this week, which serve as my workout. Life plan? Now that I’m not sure! 🙂
Becky @ Ok, so here's the plan says
Fitness plan – stick to my training plan! I’m running the West Point Half in less than two weeks and that elevation chart is NO joke!
Hillary says
Fitness: enjoy the better weather after Saturday’s RainFest 2015 (aka RnR DC Half) with a few short runs and a long hike with a close friend.
Meal: uh, the sangria I’m sipping right now and the coconut-AB-sugar free choco-chip squares chillin in the fridge?
Life: too much work, dinner with friends and a housewarming for others. Lovin the spring!
Glad you were okay with the marathon!
Betsy says
Fitness plan – run the next 7 days. Marathon training and trying out the Hansons plan… It’s starting to get a bit challenging and I’m tired! Haha
Meal plan – trying to eat better…. I don’t think a small container of pb a day is healthy! But damn, it’s addicting.
Life plan – going back to school in May after graduating college 10 years ago….. Also selling our house, moving, quitting my job – all exciting but scary!

You’re the hilarious-est (making it a word because it works). Since you posted the article about the homeless man who completed the LA marathon (so awesome!) thought you might be interested in Back on My Feet! They have an LA chapter, and are just the absolute best (running and eating are their specialties)! http://la.backonmyfeet.org

hahaha “while shaking from excitement” that made me laugh out loud 🙂
Alisha @ Real Girl Running says
I’m starting a little taper this week, for my race on Sunday! At least, that’s my excuse for sleeping in and cutting back my run lengths. Oh, and carb loading of course.
I love your breakfasts! I wish I could cook eggs at home every morning.
Sarah @ RunningChickago.com says
Omg where did you get that cookie??!!
runeatrepeat says
The frozen section at my local grocery store – Ralphs!
Al @ herbearings says
I just “ran” in my first full marathon this past Saturday, and I’m still so extremely sore; however my gym is having a “March Madness” competition based on our heart rate monitors, and I just made the cut for the “elite 8″… first place gets a free month and the pride of winning, of course. So it’s off to the gym I wobble!
The Silent Assassin says
Soy chorizo?!
runeatrepeat says
Yep. I swear it tastes like the real thing.
Stephanie says
To get back on track with eating and working out. Also to get enjoy some time outside now that the snow is melting and it is in the 40’s-50’s!! 🙂
Erin @ Erin's Inside Job says
More running outside now that Im no longer living in a tundra and a meeting tomorrow to figure out the details of me actually becoming a paid employee at the studio where I have been interning. Yessss sweet money.
Charlotte says
All plans…get my hand on that cookie thing!
Jessica says
Fitness plan…yoga. After rolling my ankle 4 weeks ago, my first run back was Saturday and I rolled it again! 🙁
Meal plan…try to remember that I’m not running so I cannot justify an entire pizza.
Life plan….don’t have a meltdown over no running. I have a Ragnar trail run in 6 weeks that I’m stressing over now! Any tips??
Margaret @ Happy Healthy PDX says
Meal plan – various boxes of Rice-a-Roni from the pantry mixed with variously seasoned grilled chicken and various veggies and salads. Excitement city.
Life plan – a few runs after this past weekend’s 10k, watching the high school dance team state competition, and heading to the coast for some R&R. And work, but I choose to ignore that.
sally @ sweat out the small stuff says
meal plan is leftovers….i’ve got lots of it. pork chops and stew and dumplings….all cooked by my sister in law which makes it even better. =)
I’m going to take a few days to recover from the NYC half that I rain yesterday (untrained). And as soon as I can move normally again I’ll do some easy runs toward the middle of the week.
Vegas couldn’t take a bad photo if he tried. #photogenic
Amy @ Amy M4gic says
Holy cow… 30 people were hospitalized?! I knew it was hot but dang! Glad you completed the marathon safely and well-hydrated!
Jessica says
Meal plan: sausage and peppers for dinner tonight, plus a free cone from DQ! (they are giving them away, apparently). Iced coffee and fruit to get me through the afternoon.
Workout plan: get a couple of runs in, plus barre class with my pals on Friday evening. Maybe a few push-ups since tank top season is right around the corner 😉
Amanda @ Slimplify Life says
