How to Treat and Prevent Plantar Fasciitis with Dr. Marci Goolsby
I have been getting a TON of questions about Plantar fasciitis. It’s in the water or something! So I’m asking Dr. Goolsby all about it… (check out the podcast for the full interview)

30 minutes easy; 9 days out from Philly marathon!
Nice 2 mile walk at lunch and 21 Day Fix Upper workout when I got home!
Did a 3 miler today on lunch, headed to Vegas tomorrow for the RnR on sunday!
Day 7: 4.2 treadmill miles!
Tuesday was a rest day for me, and lots of stretching and rolling happened! My foam roller is my worst best friend!
Day 7! A 3 miler with Harv the wonder pup!
Lately I’ve been running on an incline on my treadmill. I used to beat myself over the head with trying to hit a certain mile… but now I’m just at a point in my life where I’m pushing myself at an incline for a certain amount of time instead! 🙂
A very tired & sick 2.5 miles followed by a great stretching sesh. It definitely wasn’t a pleasant run lol, but admittedly, I felt really good afterwards!
Cross training: a mix of weight training, kickboxing, yoga and Pilates.
13,016 steps for the day!!!
Joined my friend and her running team at the track after work. Workout was 1-mile warm up, 6-400’s, and a 1/2 mile cool down. Was awesome to run in community with other warrior athletes braving the dark and drop in temperature.
5miles with my running friend today.
Resting till after running NYC marathon on Sunday but I rolled and I did some stretches and simple yoga. I like to do active recovery after a race.
6.1 miles this morning
Ran today! And got plenty of dynamic stretching in before and static stretching after!
5 miles before work and 4.6 after 🙂
2 mile walk for today.
Long walk about 3 miles
Today’s workout was just reaching my step goal of 11,000 steps because I worked 8 hours and had class tonight. So much harder today with class.
40min tempo run and mobility!
hiit workout and teaching an aqua aerobics class
I ran 6 miles today… broken down in two runs. I coach a Girls On The Run team of 5th grade girls who are training for their first 5K so my first 3 miles was mapping out a practice route for them… the second 3-miler was with a running buddy. I did some rolling and stretching for the Pile on the Miles challenge 🙂
Ran 3.4 miles this morning with my new Garmin watch!
I ran four miles this morning and got a total of 21,000 steps in today! Feeling good!
6 Miles on the stationary bike, rainy outside Thanks for the fun motivation!
I ran 3.25 miles today, doing some speed drills. So far this month I have gotten 16.72 miles in. Feeling like I am on track for reaching my goal!
Today, I had a workout with my Army Physical Readiness Training (PRT) program. It called for 10x 30/60s… Well, did the workout but needed something more… So I did 10 more 30/60s on my own!
Ran 5 miles with my group this morning!
6 mile run before sunrise. It was super icy out!
I swam this morning
I got in 3.5 miles last night and plan to do the same again today.
Last mini-workout today before this weekend’s half! 2 minute pickups to feet the leg speed up a bit.
Hitting the gym for a run and some weights after work!
Freezing today in TX, so treadmill workout after work it is!
8 miles for me today
Four more miles done!
Hi! I just ran 3 miles, slow pace. I have never owned a pair of compression socks, so i would be super grateful to be gifted these! 🙂
Thank you so much and have a good day.
3 Miles!
I took a Muscle Memory class last night, and soreness (hurt’s so good!) is starting to set in. So today will be stretching and an easy 2 or 3 miles on the treadmill.
Meeting with my running coach for the first time this afternoon if the rain holds off. Eek! Marathon training is beginning! Did a short strength workout this morning just in case…and of course stretching
5.5 miles of hills!
Woo hoo! My goal was to run 10 miles a week during the Pile on the Miles contest, and so far in the first 7 days of November I have run 12.54!! Today I ran 4.27 miles and ran my fastest mile, 1k, 5k, and furthest mile!
3 miles done! ♀
It’s a gym day for me. Full-body weights and some time on the stair stepper. 10 minutes killed me last time, but I’m going to aim for 15.
A nice 4 miles on the treadmill 🙂
I’m tapering, so 6 mile run.
I did an ME workout this morning, heading to yoga (stretch!) and meeting running club for timed mile night.
Rest day….and wow, I had a horrible experience with plantar fascitis. I was dancing professionally so afraid to take a break so it got so bad that I my achilles was tearing away from my heel bone.
Basically I was sidelined for a LONG time… I tried wearing a boot, cortisone, painkillers ets but nothing helped except for rest and acupuncture.
Definitely catch it early and stretch, stretch, stretch. Also, toe and foot exercises help a ton. Use a tennis ball to roll your foot on and they have this lever rolly things that you can use to stretch.
Elliptical
Today is strength day!
Stretching is one of my daily goals as well. Always feels so nice after a whole day’s desk job!
