Lately I’ve been running on an incline on my treadmill. I used to beat myself over the head with trying to hit a certain mile… but now I’m just at a point in my life where I’m pushing myself at an incline for a certain amount of time instead! 🙂

Joined my friend and her running team at the track after work. Workout was 1-mile warm up, 6-400’s, and a 1/2 mile cool down. Was awesome to run in community with other warrior athletes braving the dark and drop in temperature.

I ran 6 miles today… broken down in two runs. I coach a Girls On The Run team of 5th grade girls who are training for their first 5K so my first 3 miles was mapping out a practice route for them… the second 3-miler was with a running buddy. I did some rolling and stretching for the Pile on the Miles challenge 🙂

Rest day….and wow, I had a horrible experience with plantar fascitis. I was dancing professionally so afraid to take a break so it got so bad that I my achilles was tearing away from my heel bone.

Basically I was sidelined for a LONG time… I tried wearing a boot, cortisone, painkillers ets but nothing helped except for rest and acupuncture.

Definitely catch it early and stretch, stretch, stretch. Also, toe and foot exercises help a ton. Use a tennis ball to roll your foot on and they have this lever rolly things that you can use to stretch.
