Clean Eating Berry Crisp Recipe

Snacks

22 Apr

I don’t have any “Food Rules” as in foods I do not allow myself to eat. I’ve come to a place that’s pretty chill about these things.

But there is one rule that I will hold on to with both of my man hands until the day I die =

Dessert MUST have Chocolate or it’s just a snack.

This is another good dessert theory too…

Anyway. I have a nice little Clean Eating Snack Recipe for ya today…

Berry Crisp Recipe for One

Clean, Gluten Free, Chocolate Free, Snack Recipe.

  • 1 Tb. Protein Powder – This is my sugar replacement as it’s Sah-weet!
  • 2 Tb. Oats – Use Gluten Free if you are into that sorta thing

This looks absolutely scrumptious. I think I am going with the choc verdict here – throw the choc in!! Gotta have chocolate 🙂

My mom share’s the same philosophy. When it comes to dessert, “if it’s not chocolate, it’s not worth it.”

Yum. I am sadly pretty obsessed with chocolate. I’ve gotten over the whole idea that I absolutely need a bite after dinner (because it was necessary for my wellbeing) but i 100% agree that any dessert worth having HAS to be chocolate. I hate when I’m out to dinner with others who want to split a dessert and they want to choose apple pie or a piece of cheesecake, I’m like “how about the triple chocolate fudge cake?!”

Yummy I want to make this but I’m out of oats! Might steal some from my roomie to make this…

Anything sweet and delicious is dessert in my book, so doesn’t have to be indulgent. I frequently have fruit for dessert. Especially watermelon during the summer!

That sounds really good! My requirement for something to be a dessert depends on it’s sugar content. Although I don’t consider Peeps a dessert. Maybe it’s that it has to be baked, if so this fits the bill.

Yum! This snack looks awesome, I really can’t wait to try it! I would try peaches in mine! My desserts have to be GF and Dairy free (allergies), so I typically have fruit desserts because they tend to have less gluten and dairy.

That crisp looks delish. I am trying to cut back on dessert because I go a little crazy when there are sweets in the house. I am addicted to ice cream. That is what makes it dessert to me.

Absolutely must without a doubt include chocolate. Dessert doesn’t come in any other flavor. In fact, my favorite weeknight dessert is a giant apple with peanut butter = but in order for it to count as dessert, I crumble dark chocolate on top. Voila. Dessert.

I love that cartoon! I’m going to send it to my brother. Reminds me of a trip to Haagen Dazs we took once… Good times.

Dessert has to have some biscuit crunch for me. Like cheesecake…

Dessert is not the same without chocolate. And yes chocolate with dessert
    is perfect setting.

Add a bit of fruits is okay but don’t overspoilt it. That’s my advice.

Yum!! I’m assuming you can do this with any fruit? Do you think the cooking time would vary if the berries are fresh?

But it doesn’t have chocolate! Drizzle a little smuckers hot fudge on! Or this could just count as a serving of fruit without the chocolate right? Looks delicious!

Wow, this dessert is way healthier than it looks! I love me some berry crisp; will have to try making this. I think my dessert just has to be sweet. I am a big fan of fruit-flavored sweets, though. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
