Help me pick a new name (and identity and move and start a new life)

Hello! I have two very important things to talk about – 1. An Update on Invisalign (video) and 2. Name that Ginger and a potential name change.

Invisalign Week 3 Update

I’m on week 3 of Invisalign and I’m getting used to talking with it. But I still think the anchors make it Visalign (get it, without the invisible part)?

I am having trouble eating before and during running and races. This is an issue I need to figure out.

I did an easy 6 miles this morning and then some Beach Body upper fix. Then, a big ‘ol smoothie with granola and nuts.

I spy pretty flowers courtesy of the 99 cent store. Love!

And my favorite thing after watermelon… popcorn. I cannot be controlled with these super huge bags and demolished this one in 26 hours.

I scored chopped onions and bell peppers at the store and used them to make fajitas. I love onions but my eyes water crazy style when I chop them – so pre-chopped onions make me very happy.

I had a serious need for something sweet and threw together sweet potato muffins. I made a lot of sweet potatoes in the crockpot earlier this week and had some to use up. I used sweet potato, oats, maple syrup, cinnamon and an egg. I am not positive about the amounts because I can’t decide if the texture was exactly what I wanted, but they were really good!

Name that ginger…

Andy Cohen’s show Watch What Happens is in LA this week. I haven’t been watching it lately because I have Sling and can’t record. Whatev. But I’ve caught it this week and it’s extra fun.

Today they played a game with Conan O’Brien – Name that Ginger! Conan had to guess the name of each redhead sitting in the front row. It was super random, he didn’t get one right, but it was cute.

It made me wonder what my name should be – if you just met someone would you be able to pick a good name for them?

I think my name would be Loudy Sandia… because I’m loud and love watermelon. (Sandia is watermelon in Spanish)

Question: Name this Ginger!

I just tried Huma with my trays in today and if I put it at the back of my mouth it doesn’t touch – also used water with nuun because there is almost no sugar and it’s clear so shouldn’t stain the trays or mess with my teeth.

Onion dilemma….did you know if you sniff Young Living Thieves essential oil before chopping onions – NO tears! Amazing!

My current fave sweet potatoes….baked fries. Fresh sliced sweet potatoes, coat in olive oil and season with cinnamon, paprika, and a little season salt. Bomb dot com

And yes, as noted, those arms!!!!

arm definition for days, kid! I feel like other than Loudy McLouderson, you’d also fit as a Samantha. No Idea why….but a red headed Samantha just calls to me. 🙂

Seriously, those arms! You must tell us what you’ve been doing. I was in a funk (read: depression) and stopped running for a long while and eventually lost touch with all my running blogs. Yours is the first I’ve come back to and I read it every night before bed. It’s like catching up with an old friend. Which makes me a weirdo because we’ve never met. Anywho… maybe you’ve blogged about your arm workouts and I just missed it during my hiatus. Good excuse to browse through past posts! Thanks for sharing your life and passion for running with all of with us. Your enthusiasm is infectious and you have been inspiring to me. Just wanted you to know that what you do makes a difference (in case you didn’t already know!) And, really, THOSE ARMS!

Hi Katie 🙂 Glag you’re feeling better and glad you’re back 🙂
I’ve been doing 21 day fix and fix extreme upper body and now just kind of wing it and use those moves to do my own thing.

Did you know you don’t have to get the “bumpers” with invisalign? I got mine a few years ago and when they put the “bumpers” on I was shocked/horrified and asked them if I could do it without the “bumpers” and the dentist said yes it would just take 1 or 2 extra trays. So they took them off and everything turned out perfectly just took a few extra weeks.
