Happy Hug a Runner Day!

Hug A Runner Day
But, I’m not big on random hugs. I mean I’ll kiss ya straight on the lips, but hugs are weird to me.
Kidding.
Kinda.
The moral of the story is I don’t like random ‘hi’ and ‘bye’ hugs because they’re usually that ‘pat-on-the-back-butt-out’ hug and I that’s not my thing.
If you’re going to hug me gimme a big ol’ bear hug and try to crack a rib or just wave.
Well, that was a random tangent.
This morning I sported my new Brooks Nightlife gear for my 10 miler. The jacket and capri accents come in pink too. Not sure why I picked yellow – I bet I was in a bright yella mood.
I ended up taking off the jacket before I left because it was 59 degrees which would have been to warm for another layer. The jacket is made for 40-60 degrees, but I’d wear it for walking not running since I get hot fast.
Breakfast was steak cake and eggs.
Last night I made a Pumpkin Upside Down Cake just because. Again, random. But I was home alone and really at this point should just toss the rest. Noted. But it’s good!
Question: Have you hugged anyone today?
Disclaimer: I received the Brooks Nightlife gear as part of my partnership with the company. All opinions are my own.
Could you share your pumkin cake recipe? I love pumkin so much I almost hugged one today
Yes. I’m working on a post now 🙂
I love hugs!! I’m getting those in every day!
I have lots of hugs in my life b/c I am the mom of three affectionate little girls! 🙂
I saw your tweet earlier about the astronauts looking for you, so funny.
I got lots of toddler hugs at work today – perks of being a toddler teacher! 🙂
I haven’t had the opportunity to hug anyone today. I am sad 🙁
Oh man I love hugs bummed I just learned about this
I hugged my husband earlier. It was a tough day. I am not a big hugger either – though my whole family is so I’ve kind of come to accept it.
I’ve been caught mid-hug thinking it was over and pulling back but…no…not over. THAT was awkward. But I do like hugs.
Ha!
Forced hugs are so awkward. I love a good hug from a friend though!
I LOVE HUGS!!!!!
No IRL hugs yet, but I did send out a big ole virtual hug this morning on my blog/social media. 🙂
I’ve given some virtual hugs on my blog today 😉
Do those count?
I have some hugs coming my way after work…but I do agree about the forced hugging bit–not my style at all! 🙂
I was looking at the pink version of that jacket. Can you post how visible you think it is after a test run in dim light? I live in Florida though, who am I kidding, it’s never cold enough for jackets!
I love the bright yellow – how freaking fun! Plus, safety first, right? 😉
I hugged my kids…they run…away from me screaming. Apparently, age 12 is too big to hug your mom. I don’t care – I’m gonna hug you anyway!
🙂
I hugged a runner in my gym this morning – turns out he’s an elite marathoner! *hoping his speediness rubs off on me*
I am in love with the Brooks clothing right now…can you get discounts for Christmas purchases!!?? 😉
I have not hugged anyone today, but I’ll probably give a big hug to my friend when I drop her off at the Megabus station (she’s going down to L.A. for the holidays).
If you are given free brooks clothing to promote on your blog you could at least link to the correct jacket I would think.
I see you fixed it. You are welcome.
Wow….feeling a bit of tension from you Lindsay. Take a deep breath and smile…. It can help!
I hugged my boss! I told him about the whole hug a runner day and he obliged. I felt a bit embarrased though because I haven’t run in 10 days! Runkeeper even sent me an email saying they miss me. I’m going to run tomorrow. It’s too much pressure not to. HA!
I put on my sunglasses to shield my eyes and then realized you’re wearing my favorite Brooks capris!!!
Cake and eggs sounds perfect. There’s this cool restaurant in San Francisco called American Cupcake. They serve brunch. They need that on the menu for sure. =)
No hugs for me yet today. Boo.
No hugs for me today. I could’ve hugged my friend while we were running today, but I didn’t find out about the holiday until after the fact.
When hugging feels obligatory I’m totally out. When my husband was a kid he’d high five family members instead- he may have been on to something…
I like this high 5 thing!
