Messy Pancake Sunday

Happy Sunday! I really wanted to hit up a class at the gym today, but a lazy morning meant I missed it. Fail. Oh well, that just meant a beautiful walk  outside instead.IMG_0127 (800x600)

First though, I made pancakes! IMG_0108 (800x533)

When I make them for Ben I cook up two separate batches because he likes his pancakes with extra eggs and cooked in extra butter. The first one I made was too egg-y so I made it into a crepe. I had a bite and it turned out to be the best one! IMG_0110 (800x533)

I made myself pumpkin pancakes and topped them with the last of the apple crisp, syrup and PB. IMG_0105 (800x533)

The hot coffee was subsequently poured over ice…IMG_0099 (800x533)

The one tiny downside of making pancakes is I make the BIGGEST MESS every time! This includes getting flour and batter all over myself. I asked Ben to take a picture of my crotch to put on the internet and he obliged… IMG_0121 (800x533)

We were contemplating what to do with this beautiful day and decided to get outside as soon as possible instead of wasting a second of it. So, we headed to near by Lake Mission Viejo for a short walk and talk.IMG_0128 (800x600)

I busted out the sombrero to shield me from the sun (and subsequent freckles).IMG_0134 (800x600)

    Love the hat- it looks perfect for Panama too. I’m trying to be better about sunscreen and hats since I have plenty of freckles.

    Aw look at that cute little crepe 😀 I know pancakes can be messy. I always make such a mess with protein pancakes, it’s not even funny. Hope you had a great day!

    Those pancakes look great! I went through a pancake phase a while ago, but haven’t made them in a while. I’m messy, too.

    I could SO go for some pancakes. I’ve finally gotten sick of my typical Chobani-and-cereal breakfast, but it’s not so easy to whip up a batch of pancakes in a dorm. For now, I’ll just pretend I’m eating pancakes 🙂
