StitchFix Review Delivery Service #5

Fitness Fashion· My Life

24 Sep

Hello! How’s it going? Over here it’s going good. Just running and eating and forcing my friends to come over and take pictures of me for my blog like a weirdo as my neighbors wonder ‘what the heck…’.

you are weird

Oh well.

I’m excited to share this StitchFix Review with you because while I didn’t keep everything, I loved the three things I did keep. It was just like a stylist picked them out for ME (hello, the point of the whole thing actually working).

First the dress I put on right when I got my box…

Tart Chenille Watercolor Print Dress

My favorite part is the back. Love the cut! This does make it difficult to wear a strapless bra with it so I bought a stick on bra like this one to wear.

stitchfix review fashion blog 6 (600x800)

I sent back these two tops. The floral one was too flow-y and not flattering at all. The black/white tank was too black and white Smile

My second favorite piece from this month’s StitchFix delivery was this Tart Sinah French Terry Ruched Dress.

This is the best because it’s super comfy and flattering. I love that my StitchFix stylist always sends me something of the body con variety. Oddly, it’s NOT that I like to wear tight clothes or show my curves but I have realized that body hugging cuts flatter my body a lot more than loose things.

I used to refuse to wear anything body hugging because it made me so self conscious. But, after looking at pics of myself in loose or flow-y dresses I realized it made me look heavier. So, now I just go with it.

The third piece I kept was this Sanctuary Lace Detail Tank. I love a pop of lace so this was a winner all the way.

Check out the super cute leopard flats I’m wearing too! They’re my new favorite thing. These are similar but not peep toe. These have the open toe but I’m not in love with the pattern as much.

Also, I love that StitchFix sends me a follow up email after I’ve received my box to ask what I want to keep/send back. I get so many deliveries (and am so random) it’s easy to forget and I appreciate it being so easy breezy!

Question: What are you wearing? (yes, I’m totally saying it in a creepy voice too)

Excellent choice, madam! I love the back on the watercolor dress, too!

I’m rocking the maternity pants these days. Sexy. BUT I did request an accessories-only fix last month, and loved it! Since I can only rock big-belly clothes right now, it was fun to get some jewelry and stuff to mix it up.

That is a good tip! I have a friend who put her Fixes on hold until after she delivers – but that’s a good idea I’ll pass along to her.

You look BOMBshell gorgeous in that black and white dress! Love it! It’s fall weather here in NYC so I’m in jeans, a burnt orange Free People shirt with embellished sleeves, and boots! With an umbrella on the side for the rain – whomp whomp!

That black and white dress looks so good on you! I am with you on the loose, flow-y clothing. My body has changed since I had a baby and it is no longer flattering at all! My problem is that it’s all I feel like wearing. I think I need to relearn how to dress myself ☺

nice “fixes”! I wish I could justify using Stitch Fix because they have so many cute outfits, but I rotate between a uniform for work and running clothes after work 🙂 Right now I’m wearing jeans, running shoes, a lululemon tank & my Chicago Marathon ’13 hoodie. Gotta love “Casual Thursdays!”

I keep reading your reviews and I must say I am loving a lot of their selections! I hate shopping so if someone else does it for me then kudos to them. Right now I own more scrubs and workout clothes than regular clothing 🙁

The first dress looks awesome too, love the back and it looks perfect to just throw on and go.

Nothing fun on the clothing over here though, jeans and tshirt for work

that black and white dress looks great on you. i totally get what you’re saying, as body-hugging dresses and skirts look better on me, too — small chest, smaller waist and muscley butt-thigh girls seem to be able to rock those looks better than flowy ones, i think. i’m sort of obsessed with anything open back and love any excuse to not wear a bra. those things suck. 🙂

That second dress is amazing. I couldn’t wear the first one, my boobs would be hanging way too low. I often wonder what my neighbors think of me when I take my food outside and snap a million pictures of it

Monica, just wanted to say how great you look in all 3. You really look like you have gotten in even better shape over the past few months. You really look beautiful.

I am in the most unflattering outfit-a tank top with yogurt and toothpaste all over it because apparently I can’t eat or brush my teeth, and some ugly shorts and slippers .
