Warm Dessert – Apple Crisp

I am an ice cream girl all the way, but I called TCBY and they don’t have pumpkin flavor until tomorrow (I’ll be there!). So, tonight I made a warm dessert – Apple PB Oat Crisp. I used this recipe as an inspiration, but with these changes –

–  used more oats to cover all the apples

– PB instead of butter (good call!)

– added chocolate chips, because dessert needs chocolate.

Dinner was Pei Wei – I got one of the spicy choices with tofu & veggies. It’s been a long time since we went here because Ben didn’t really like it the last time. Luckily, he was happy with it tonight so we’ll be back! IMG_1614

We started with soup because I was starving!IMG_1612

Earlier in the day I iced my ankle with half a bag of frozen veggies. My ankle has been sore for a while now on and off and I was feeling it today a lot because of the long run.  See Ben’s high arch on the right side? He should have been a ballerina. A six-foot two, hairy ballerina.IMG_1606

Lunch was salmon salad on a corn pop I got from the Dutch Market recently. And some chips, no pic. I am very proud of myself for actually eating a real lunch today. I was super close to just grabbing random foods when I got hungry, but this was a better choice.IMG_1608

After errands I had a lot of grapes and seltzer. Te amo uvas.IMG_1611

One of my errands today was a TJ’s stop. Here is their pumpkin 🙂 I love pumpkin and all things Fall! That may be because I am a “pumpkin head” since I have a very large orange colored head and my colors are autumn/fall. IMG_1610Question: Do you know if your complexion season/colors???

Here’s some info to determine your complementary colors if you don’t know it.

That crisp sounds delicious. I like the idea of PB instead of butter for several reasons and now I have plenty of ideas for some dormroom dessert 🙂

Oh my God – the crisp looks delish! Can’t wait to try it. I’m an ice cream girl allll the way too 🙂 I totally get what you mean about grabbing random things for lunch – I tend to do that and then spend all afternoon grazing as well or full but never really satisfied. Blah!! Habits are hard to break! Love your Blog and am glad I found it! Mind if I add you to my Roll??

Using beanut butter instead of butter is pretty genius.
I have cool undertones and am brunette, so apparently I am a winter. My colors are black, navy blue, red, and hot pink. Good thing neon is coming back!! I will look hot this season.

I always ice with bags of frozen veggies. I’m actually about to do just that in a few minutes.

I didn’t know people still did the whole “season colors ” thing. I would have no idea. I could be using all the wrong colors! I better check the article.
