You’ll Never Guess What My Favorite Thing To Do Here Is…

Hello from gorgeous Florida!

fun in florida travel blog 6 (800x600)

I’m on the Gulf Coast side just south of Sarasota. It’s seriously so gorgeous and quiet here. I always feel like I’m on vacation here.

I started my first day in Flo-rida with a run. It’s my favorite thing to do here, or anywhere really. But it is like 100% humidity so it feels like I’m drowning in my own sweat. Fantastic. I need to grow some gills to breathe here asap!

So, my favorite thing to do here is run (and complain about the humidity).

But my second favorite thing to do is… eat. Obviously.

Run Eat Repeat. At your service.

I love going to the grocery store here (Publix!) and searching for foods that aren’t available at my local store. Living in Orange County I pretty much have access to anything and everything I could ever want, so it is a challenge to find new-to-me stuff, and that’s why I like it.

Like this flavor of Greek yogurt – banana caramel! Yes.

And I should already know about this, but sometimes I try to avoid the cereal aisle because I just fill up my whole shopping cart with Cinnamon Chex.

Peanut Butter Toast Crunch. I die.

And I heard a rumor that this Jimmy Fallon flavor of Ben & Jerrry’s – Tonight Dough is magical. So I scooped this up and into my mouth.

I didn’t eat this massive cupcake pillow, but was very tempted…

With a salad thrown in at some point for good measure.

And during one of our errands we stopped at Walmart (there is no Target to be found, don’t tell my dad I went here!). I spotted this Pineapple Tee and had to have it.

Here are some similar: Pineapple Tank (only left in XL)  / Tiny Pineapples Tee / Tory Burch Pineapple Tee <- most similar but expensive.

Question: If you had a shirt with a picture of food – what food would it be?

Publix is probably the one thing I miss most from Alabama (moved to New Orleans about 2 years ago)! Whenever we go to Florida on vacation, I think I go to Publix at least once every day. Also, gonna have to search for that B&J flavor–looks amazing!

Banana Caramel Yogurt? I have never seen that before, but it sounds awesome. I live up in PA so maybe we don’t have that yet!? I will be sure to look for it next time I go shopping! Thanks for the post!

Oregon Rams (Pacific Time Frame Zone web marketers).

In the long run sports like soccer, cricket, volleyball and other
exclusive sports events World Cup and Olympics are more enclosed because of
their ideal viewership in the world which furthermore
captured a large number of the dignified viewers. For cash games, you should always sit down at
the table with at least 20-25 buy-ins for the level you intend to play at.

I’d like to have a shirt with carrot cake on it. Or wedding cake. Those are my favorite desserts! And I was born and raised in Florida, so I really miss Publix. I hope you are a fan of Publix subs. Man we need those out here in Cali! 🙂 Have a great time!

You’re in my neck of the woods! I have no idea how you manage to run outside in this weather! I have to finish before 9 am or it’s rough. Oh, Publix rocks.

Watermelon. And I’m guessing you would too! My mom had a watermelon print dress and a watermelon print bag when I was growing up and I have forever loved the print. I saw these at Anthropologie and alllllmost bought one but then decided for $78 I wouldn’t. But now I want it! http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/pdp/detail.jsp?&pageName=Picnic+Days+Tee&catId=CLOTHES-PETITE&id=4110084327111#/

I know what you mean about the humidity! I visited my sister in St Pete a few weeks ago and running was rough. Then again, I was used to 20° weather so the heat was probably a factor too.

Tacos. 🙂 Also, if you haven’t splurge on a publix deli sandwich. It sounds random but it’s just soooo amazing. It’s what I ate after the last two marathons I did in Cocoa Beach. So, so good.

The Tonight Dough is pretty much the best flavor Ben & Jerry’s I have ever had. Thank god a pint= a single serving, because I didn’t have to feel bad eating the whole thing. I also just bought the same shirt for my vacation to Florida in a month! Nice 🙂

My shirt would probably have burgers on it, not sure how cute that would be… I don’t envy the humidity, but the view where you are running is gorgeous! Love it, reminds me of running at the cottage.

I am still dying over that tank with the bacon and donuts. You were very HUSH about where you saw/bought/wore/stalked it. I want one so badly! I promise to never wear it when you wear yours. Pretty please, tell us…. 😀

There is an awesome Target in Venice across from the Walmart on Hwy 41. 😉 Also there’s a Bealls and you really cant do shopping in Florida without hitting up the Bealls and Bealls outlet store. Trust me, you’ll thank me later.
