Hello! I ran the Palm Springs Half Marathon this morning. Here’s my results and recap…
First. I headed to Palm Springs last night to have some pre-race fun with my best friend. Road trip!!
When I got there we drank. Shocker.
And ate A LOT.
Oh, and I spotted the NEW (OLD) French Toast Crunch and carb-loaded my life away. I love cereal. And carbs. And french toast.
Palm Springs Half Marathon
Luckily my best lil peep lives super close to the race start so we only had to leave the house 20 minutes from go time. I cut it a little close with the porta potty line, but got to the start just as it was time to run.
I didn’t really remember the course from last year. I think it’s a little rolling hilly, but very pretty. There are also a lot of turns so remember to run the tangents.
Palm Springs Half Marathon finish 1:51:18, Average pace: 8:25
Cindy did the 5k! Go Cin gooooo!
After the race I wanted 7-11 coffee because I’m random. I also got a Quest Bar and was contemplating this hat because I love it.
Then, it was time for the real reward: Donuts.
Yes. Please. Thank you. God Bless.
Now we’re back at Cindy’s eating and relaxin’
Overall: It was an amazing RUN and EAT weekend!!

Question: What was the best thing you ate this weekend?
Me: The Ice Cream Twix I had on the way to Palm Springs.
Disclaimer: The PS Half Marathon team provided me with this bib. All opinions are my own.

I’d love to read more details in your race recap posts! Recaps are my favorite parts of running blogs, and it’s always interesting to read how the race actually went: the ups and downs, your feelings about it, what the course was like, etc. instead of just your finishing time. Just a thought! Great job on another good race though 🙂

Girl, you run races the way I eat breakfast… Daily! Or at least it feels that way. I just signed up for my first (5k) race next month, and all of your race recaps keep making me more and more excited! You go girl.
Erin @ Erin's Inside Job says
I learned how to make microwave chocolate chip mug cookies and it was all over from there.
Megan @ Skinny Fitalicious says

Your blog was always one of my favourites but it’s really getting hard to read every day about how much you drink. The actual alcohol consumption is fine, but all the references and memes about getting wasted and blacking out seems very college braggy… Aren’t you 30-something?
runeatrepeat says
This is fair. The reference about blacking out was a joke on instagram, not on the blog. I’ve been going out more than I used to for personal reasons. But, most of my alcohol references are exaggerations or jokes. I don’t mean to alienate anyone. Thank you for reading and pointing it out in a fair way.
Kirsten says
That’s good to hear. 🙂

Congratulations! Looked like a beautiful day for a race! Do they sell Quest bars at 7-Eleven now? That would be amazing.

I’ve been eating so badly all week (started a new job Monday, and really stressed). So, I tried to get back on track this weekend. For supper both nights, I made a fruit plate with a banana, tangerines, and a huge Granny Smith apple that I dipped in vanilla Greek yogurt. Isn’t it funny how good “good” food tastes again after a week of not-so-good food?
Ida says
going to cheesecake factory tonight and i cant wait to do some damage there!
Cari says
I bought the French Toast Crunch as soon as I saw it in stores, too! NOSTALGIA!!!
Alisha @ Real Girl Running says
I made a chocolate cake with raspberries, raspberry jam and whipped cream for my husband for his birthday. I like having someone who I can make cake for and then who shares with me 🙂
Sally @ sweat out the small stuff says
Undercooked brownies with vanilla fudge ice cream!!!
runeatrepeat says
Dreamy.
Jill @ Champagne for Everyday says
Congrats on a good finish!! The best part of any heavy activity day is definitely the fact that it’s an excuse to eat donuts =D Did you get the vanilla flavored 7-11 coffee and add the “vanilla latte” that comes out of the machine? Haha my fave!
