Hello! I just ran the Rock N Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon with my Pumpkin Spice Latte Peep Skinny Runner. Here are my thoughts, results, recap on all the fun…

Let’s start at the beginning. I had a 4:15am wake up call. The race started at 7am and lucky for us LA traffic was still fast asleep so we got there with plenty of time to spare.

Before the race we enjoyed some free Dunkin Donuts iced coffee. Let me say that again – Free. Iced Coffee.

Forget the fact that I was dressed like a Starbucks barista, I had to have some (before and after the race).

Sun’s up. Time to run.

The race was fun! A lot of runners were dressed up since it’s so close to Halloween.

My personal favorite costumes include: a piece of pizza, Forrest Gump, a dinosaur and a lot of other ones I can’t remember now.

      Awesome costumes and love those medals!

      Best thing I did this weekend was run 10K and win my age division for the first time, there were only 8 of us…but still excited!

      It was great to meet you at the finish line! I hope you had a great race. I found mile 11 to be a STRUGGLE but had fun despite that.

      Best thing I ate were ribs at the Weber Grill restaurant in Chicago.
      Celebrated my 42nd birthday with my boyfriend in Chicago for the weekend. It was amazing 🙂
      Love those costumes!

        Well, I’m partial to Las Vegas but since I’m in SoCal it’s not that big of a deal. I have to go with Rock N Roll New Orleans!

      Those costumes are amazing!! I need to do at least one race in costume 😀

      My best thing from this weekend was taking a friend for her very first run. It was so lovely to be able to share something I love with a friend, tho kinda weird to be deemed the ‘expert’. She kept asking me questions about why we were doing certain things, what we were stretching, and it felt weird to be considered knowledgeable- I feel like I’m still a newb myself!

      I went to a killer barre class and now am taking it easy before my half next weekend.

      Random question – you wear procompression socks a lot, have you tried their compression tights? I’m looking for compression that targets more of the thighs and glutes.. love how it feels after a hard workout and am comparing brands out there.

      The best thing I did this weekend is workout. I really left everything at the gym – it’s a really good feeling!!! Best thing I ate? Probably chocolate chips because I had a lot of extra carbs and was like, “Hmmm….I want chocolate chips.”

      Your costumes are the BEST!!! I love them! I ran a race today too and some people dressed up (I was lame and just went as a runner). My favorite was two guys being “frat guys” and they ran with a backpack full of beer and drank a few beers while running. Pretty sure they beat me too.
