Hello!! Wait. 2014 is over?! Give me a minute, I need to recap my favorite Run Eat and Repeat from December! Thank you.
I am weird.
But I am weirder than the average weirdo because I was craving Brussels Sprouts something crazy last night. So, I made an important stop at Trader Joe’s on the way home last night. Roasted up. Done and done.
This morning I woke up to some wild wind! The sidewalks were covered in leaves and twigs and small animals that got blown away. But the wind blew away all the clouds so there were amazing views to the mountains!!
It was cold too! I even busted out my vest you can see from the international space station. (I know this is true because the astronauts read RER and commented.*)
Post run warm up / stretch / TV catch up.
And I’m contemplating my New Year’s Resolutions with some of my favorite vices…
Best Run Eat and Repeat from December!
Favorite RUN
I think my favorite run is the 14 miler I had a few weekends ago. I haven’t been running very well lately and I really needed a good one!
Favorite EAT
Favorite post I’d like to REPEAT
May Highlights – I can’t find it?! But here are some outtakes from May.
February Highlights – Also can’t find it. I swear I’m not drunk. But here is one of my most popular recipes from that month – Apple Oat Bars
Question: What was the BEST part of December for you?

Monica, I’ve followed your blog for some time and this year, I’ve watched (or rather read!) you grow, change etc and it’s amazing. 🙂

Christmas Day! It was my first with my boyfriend and our gift exchange was exciting. We are going on a ski weekend in Vermont in a few weeks. 🙂

I quit my job (one that I hated) to start studying for a career that I would be challenged in (firefighting). The best thing I have ever done! This year is a challenge to compete 2015 miles in 2015. Happy new year! 🙂

The best part of my December was New Year’s Eve day. My hubbie had the day off, and I took a vacation day. It was the only day since before Thanksgiving that we were able to stay home — not one other place we had to be all day! We just hung out together doing chores around the house. Not glamorous, but heaven to me.

Did my very first running streak in December. Never had run more than four days in a row before. Did between 3-10 miles daily this month. Ready for a break too. Monica, your posts always make me smile or laugh. I enjoy reading your blog.

I had a baby in December! The labor wasn’t my favorite part but having him here is pretty darn awesome!

The best part of December was getting a 5k PB – it tok me 2 years and 8 months to achieve it, so I was soooo happy! 🙂

I LOVE BRUSSEL SPROUTS! I can totally relate to the pineapple/cottage cheese craving, too, BTW. The BEST PART OF Christmas was being with (almost) all of my family. 🙂

The best part of December was Christmas! I love the lights and the tree and finding presents for people. It’s just so much fun! I can’t believe it’s New Year’s already!
Have a great night!

The best part of December for me was moving to Chicago. It is also probably one of the most stressful because we did it in such a short timeline and I also up and changed careers to get my personal training certification. I’ve had to branch out and talk to new people which always freaks me out, but I’ve made some pretty good connections through it.
I hope you have a great New Year’s!
