Healthy Smoothie Bowl Recipe

Beaches and Cream Smoothie Bowl Recipe

One of the most popular new year’s resolutions is to EAT HEALTHIER. And I have some good news if this is one of your goals = you don’t have to go on a complicated diet or eliminate certain foods.

Keep it simple. (I think this about exercise too – running is hard, but it’s simple.)

Start by focusing on whole foods your great-grandparents would recognize immediately. Think nutrient rich foods like fruits, vegetables and real dairy.

This Beaches and Cream Smoothie Recipe has fruits, veggies and protein from Real California yogurt and milk. You can sip it or serve it in a bowl with your favorite smoothie toppings.

I opted for the SIAB aka ‘smoothie in a bowl’ version with a fruit-y beach scene because one of my favorite ways to reset is to hit up a local beach for a long walk. There’s just something therapeutic about listening to the ocean waves and feeling the sand underneath my feet that’s peaceful and energizing at the same time.

This Beaches and Cream smoothie is inspired by the happy feelings I get from a walk at one of my favorite Southern California Beaches. It’s packed with ingredients that make me feel good from the inside out.

Directions:

Blend all smoothie ingredients thoroughly.

If making a smoothie bowl – let set in freezer for 3-5 minutes. Then, top with banana kiwi palm trees and granola OR your favorite toppings.

Enjoy!
