This is it! You made it!! It’s the last day of the Pile on the Miles Challenge for this year! Congratulations!!

It’s National Gingerbread Cookie Day….

gingerville

My favorite running quote (right now anyway):

There will come a day when you can no longer do this.Today is NOT that day. (800x800)

Running Tips:

You can give another runner ONE tip. What is it?

Well… it kinda depends on what their goal is…

For a new runner I’d say go slow. Slower than that.

For someone who wants to run a half marathon or marathon… If I can do it – YOU can do it.

What do you do when you feel like quitting? Have a mantra? Trick? Other??

Cry. Cuss. Not necessarily in that order. Then, tell myself to show the hell up and push.

What’s your secret to staying motivated?

I love running. There’s no secret to that. I think you should find something YOU love and do that. Then, you might have to push yourself in a long training run if you have a goal but if it’s just for health or fitness you’ll look forward to it.

thanks for hosting. it was a non-running month for me, unfortunately, but good in the name of self care and getting myself back and healthy. This was a good accountability check to help me to move in different ways – lots of swimming and cross training. today was rock climbing!

Its early, and I’m only at 15,559 steps for the day, but I finally came out of my grief slump from the last two days and got in a 3.7 mile run this morning.

POTM was actually harder than I thought it would be, mainly because I’m apparently not good at checking in. I met my goal on 18/21 days which is totally a win in my books. I’m definitely looking forward to next year.

thanks for all the hard work you put into this Monica! I really appreciated the podcasts and the Facebook page. Even on days I wasn’t feeling motivated it was fun to see everyone else playing along.

      Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m back! I think I am out of my slump! I rocked out a four mile run this morning! I have 21,000 steps for the day. Tomorrow is rest before my six mile turkey trot on Thursday.
Thanks, Monica for another wonderful POTM!

I ran 54.62 miles between November 1 and November 21! Yay!

Today I did the Iron Strength for Runners Core Blaster workout.

Thank you for doing Pile on the Miles! It was good to have this boost at the beginning of my “running year.”
