Hello! How are you doing? Ready for the holidays? Freezing? Eating? Happy? Stressed?

I think I’m all of those things.

I’m super super super tired from being up for the last 20 hours. I don’t know if I should just go to sleep or start crying or have a snack and text old friends. I’ll let you know what I did tomorrow.

Before we get distracted by real life let’s talk about FOOD! I’ve been enjoying a lot of treats lately. It’s not the end of the world (and even if it was I’d want to eat donuts before it all ended no regrets). But, I do need to keep some healthy protein packed snacks around to help prevent an early overdose of Christmas cookies. I mean, it’s coming just not yet.

So here is  a round up of my best protein snack recipes. Let me know if you have a recipe to share in the comments or chime in if you try one of these!

I was at about a 9.5 after the marathon two weeks ago. Some days off, lots of sleep and time to destress – I’d say I’m at about a 4-5. Hoping to get down to 2-3 over holiday break! 🙂

Happily in Colorado, we have a snow day (I’m a teacher)! I didn’t go back to bed once I found out that we were cancelled, but I’m in my pajamas with my dog on my lap. I’d say, I’m “relaxed with a hint of lazy” on the sleep scale. 😉

I’m like an 8 today. I flew into LAX yesterday too! We left Waco, TX at about 1:45 California time and I forced myself to stay awake until 8 last night so that I could get back to my regular time. Ugh. Work is over-rated.

    10. Dead. And I have zero reason to be this tired!

I blame the weather and the gloomy day!

    Oh my. I’m totally at a 10.

Ok, that was dramatic. Maybe I’m at like an 8..I’d like to sleep for at least a month. I love the holidays, but why are they so exhausting???

I’m actually not as tired as most mornings. But I have major anxiety about what my workday look like so I kinda would prefer to go back to bed. Love that all your recipes are breakfasty. I like sweet carb breakfasts so pumping some protein into them. Yep. Perfect!
